Does this go for all future transactions? That they have to take place the day before their contract runs out?djskek wrote: edit all dates from 30 at 29, please. (e.g. 30 4 2007 0 0 1 --> 29 4 2007 0 0 1)

Only the players with 30 4 2007 change to 29 4 2007.....yes, one day befor their contract runs out. Maybe the transfer will not work. With 29 4 2007, it works in every case!Manimal wrote:Does this go for all future transactions? The foreign players (non-German player) will remain at 1 5 2007.... and the contracts (of non-German player) in the player profile (no config) to expire in 2008.(30.04.2008) (so far only for Adam Mitchell and Ryan Ramsay)

Re: Lidas Rosters 2010-11; Mistakes, omissions, tweaks etc.
Let me first start by saying how incredible the 3.0 update was! Words cannot express my appreciation for people like you Manimal, who make this game continue to be so enjoyable and up to date, so thanks a million for all of your hard work and dedication!
A few tweaks for the Buffalo Sabres that you might want to consider:
Downgrades:
Tim Connolly's mental attributes should be lower, particularly determination, bravery and perhaps anticipation. He certainly does not have the heart/bravery that he once did.
Jochen Hecht always seems to score way more than he should. Perhaps lower his creativity as his offensive vision is average-below average. Also, he should be listed as a LW/C, and not a C/LW as his natural position is LW.
Jordan Leopold's Defensive skills should be downgraded.
Mike Grier's speed and acceleration should be lower.
Shaone Morrisonn should be downgraded.
Rob Neidermayer should be downgraded.
Patrick Lalime should be downgraded (he's not even an NHL goalie anymore lol)
Upgrades:
Both Drew Stafford and Andrej Sekera have taken major strides this season. Stafford has emerged into a legitimate first line winger that plays both a power and finesse game, and should finish with over 30 goals this season despite missing significant time due to injury. Sekera has emerged as a very good # 2-3 defenseman who moves the puck extremely well, skates like the wind, and plays a very smart/positionally sound game. Sekera should also be listed as a LD/RD who is accomplished on the right side.
Steve Montador has solidified himself as a solid Top 4 defenseman for the past season and a half.
Tyler Myers' skating should be improved (he really is an incredible skater for a player his size and routinely flies up the ice through the neutral zone).
Tyler Ennis has emerged as a dynamic, Top 6 forward with blistering speed and excellent playmaking and stick skills. He should also be listed as a natural LW with the ability to play Center, and not simply a center (he has played exclusively as a Left Winger the entire year but played some Center while he was with Portland in the AHL).
Nathan Gerbe has become a solid NHL'r. One thing I noticed was his lack of strength (6). He is actually very, very strong for his size as his playing weight is close to 180 lbs which is very impressive considering he is 5'6''. Gerbe also has an excellent wrist shot, and I'd recommend that his bravery, determination, aggression, and work rate become substantially improved as he has succeeded at every level, is very chippy, and has really overcome his lack of size at every level. If you need further evidence, look at the game highlights against the Canadiens (Sabres won 2-0) and watch his play on the EN goal at the end of the game. It was a true testament to his mental attributes! Even with substantial improvements to his attributes, he still will be nothing more than a tweener forward in EHM 2007 because of his lack of size (the game really limits what shorter players can accomplish it seems).
Cody McCormick has been a very solid role player all year and was fantastic in last years playoff series against the Boston Bruins.
FInally, Patrick Kaleta's skating and hitting should be improved.
And I'm sure you have already take care of this, but Craig Rivet was claimed off of waivers by Columbus, and Brad Boyes was aquired from St. Louis for Buffalo's 2011 2nd round pick. Thanks again for everything, and let me know if there is anything I can do to help you!

In response to that, here's my criticism on the Rangers:Manimal wrote:Thanks for the kind words!Lindy4Prez wrote:Let me first start by saying how incredible the 3.0 update was! I have taken your info for consideration and changed what I felt was needed(most of it).
That kind of info would be welcome from more teams
Artem Anisimov: Needs an upping in stickhandling. He can be frustrating to watch sometimes, but when he wants to enter the zone, he smokes the defense. Has probably the best set of hands on the team, a serious competitor to Gaborik in that facet. Could probably use a boost in his wristshot, too. His speed, deking, and hockey sense is on target.
Sean Avery: Could probably use 10 points knocked off his current ability. The avery of the 06-07/07-08 seasons is long gone. His hitting should probably be lower, as he's not a very good hitter. Too small, and he gets knocked off his feet very easily. Could also use a decrease in some of his offensive abilities, specifically his shot and stickhandling.
Brian Boyle: Not sure if you're still basing everything off last season, but Brian Boyle is a new player this season. Using his shot, has MUCH better speed, hits very actively (leads the team!), and still maintains the good defensive instincts he had from last season as well.
Ryan Callahan: CA and PA should probably both be 145, he's a 2nd liner. He was last year, and is really showing he is this year. Hitting should in no way be 11, he's been getting 250+ every season for the past 3 seasons now, and he hits hard sometimes. Hitting should be probably one of his best assets, and bravery should be up there, as he really does go all out every shift. One of the hardest working players I've ever watched. Other than that, going by this season, his offensive skills could be up'd, but otherwise it's good.
Erik Christensen: Basically just need to halve his consistency. Christ with a 15 in consistency is laughable. He shows up for 10 games in a row twice a season, and vanishes for the rest. Almost never brings it all.
Michael Del Zotto: Upgrade in hitting, minor downgrade in defensive skills. Really physical for an offensive defenseman, but still miserable at the actual position of defense.
Chris Drury: Sad to say, he's done.

Brandon Dubinsky: Starting last season, and really showing it even more this season, probably our most important forward. Needs to be improved everywhere, really. His CA indicated him as a borderline 2nd line player, but he's definitely at the least a 2nd line player. He has great ice vision, always finds the loose puck, and once he gets it, can hold onto it seemingly forever. Whenever he's on the ice, he generally has and holds the puck. Mostly needs improvements in his shot, stickhandling, speed, hockey sense, and movement.
Alexander Frolov: Lazy, inconsistent player who's offensive game seems non-existent. Could probably use a serious decrease in everything. I've only seen him being useful along the boards.
Dan Girardi: He's kind of set up as an offensive defenseman for some reason. Girardi's the Rangers shutdown defenseman behind Marc Staal. He has decent offensive instincts, good for making rebounds and making outlet passes, but mostly there for defending. Emphasize on his positioning, checking, and bravery. Stickhandling is accurate, Girardi has hands of stone. Deking should be lowered, a lot.
Wade Redden: I'm not even kidding or being spiteful when I say 135 CA is too much for him. He's fallen down the ranks as a borderline NHL defenseman now. Needs an overall decrease, specifically in his speed.
Mike Sauer: Not an offensive defenseman at all. Off/Def role is 14/12 on the DB, should be more like 8/15.
Marc Staal: Definitely needs an improvement. He's a top pairing shutdown defenseman who's can throw in almost 10G, 30P a season. His CA is listed as 135, which is too low. I'm not saying he's elite, but should have upgrades in defense, hitting, and speed. Marc's actually got good wheels.
Todd White: Overall downgrade. Can't play in the NHL anymore.
Mats Zuccarello: His CA is probably fine, but potential shouldn't be hard capped at 130 already. He could definitely get better.
Also, if you're basing anything off of this season, Mike Sauer and Ryan McDonagh have established themselves as legit NHL defenders now. And of course, Derek Stepan is doing great for himself.
Anyway that's basically everything I can point on that I myself would change for the NYR. Do with it what you will.

Hey Manimal, Don’t you think, the Lake Erie Monsters should be in next update, in AHL, they are second in North Division 88 points, and made a huge 8 win streak!

Sure. Why not? I usually change this between seasons but I see no harm in them getting promoted already. I'll have a look at the standings to see who gets relegatedinuyashabr1986 wrote:Hey Manimal, Don’t you think, the Lake Erie Monsters should be in next update, in AHL, they are second in North Division 88 points, and made a huge 8 win streak!

Ok, i finally registered to this site because i love how you guys are keeping up with the rosters.
I was wondering if you guys need help.
I know how in the first season of NHL, players like Backstrom,Kane,Toews are all rookies, well i figured out how i can fix that and make there stats right so there milestones would be right.
After the next update that minimal releases i am going to start editing players stats and make it so Restricted fa's will be right and rookies will be rookies.
Minimal. after i do this, would you like the database for your 4.0? After the NHL regular season i can start the stats on teams that did not make the playoffs, also once a team gets eliminated i can do that team.
One more thing, NHL Draft pick status: please check out http://www.prosportstransactions.com/ho ... lanche.htm
I hope i am not bugging anyone, but i can help full time.
Thanks,
Minimal, if you have a messenger please pm me the info, and we can talk. I have alot of ideas for the NHL anyways to make it better.

I think its time to address Tuomo Ruutu's physical and hitting atributes. He arguably could be one of the hardest hitting players in the NHL and he can do that anywhere on the ice boards and open ice you call it. He is fast enough to land those nice open ice hits on a regular basis too. He is second only after Cal Clutterbuck in the hits total stat. Hell Ovechkin is known as a pretty physical guy and Ruutu just denied him after the Wideman hit.

Re: Lidas Rosters 2010-11; Mistakes, omissions, tweaks etc.
Manimal, a few more tweaks that could be done to the Sabres roster:
Vanek, Roy, Stafford, and Myers should have higher offensive roles. The Sabres' offense really flows through these players. Vanek at 16 should probably be around an 18, Roy at 15 should also be around an 18, Stafford at 14 should be around a 17, and Myers at 13 should be around a 16.
With that being said, Roy and Stafford's defensive roles should be downgraded. Roy's defensive role should be around a 12 or 13, and Stafford's defensive role should be way lower (possibly a 8 or a 9). He NEVER plays on the penalty kill, nor does he play on a defensive line at even strength.
Also Brad Boyes' defensive role should be lower. He's a good defensive player, but does not deserve a 14 for his defensive role.
Tyler Ennis should be given a potential of a first line winger, and Zack Kassian should be given high 2nd line potential. Kassian has dominated the OHL and was fantastic at this year's World Junior Championships. Also, Marcus Foligno should be given the potential of a good 3rd line defensive player (think Mike Grier). His play at the WJC's was also stellar, and he has had an excellent season playing for the Sudbury Wolves in the OHL. Finally, dominant seasons from Luke Adam in the AHL, and Brayden McNabb in the WHL, suggest their potential should be higher. McNabb's statistics playing for the Kootenay Iced have been nothing short of fantastic this year, as he has dominated both offensively and defensively. Luke Adam is also in the conservation to be the AHL rookie of the year with a great first season playing for the Portland Pirates, so I believe his potential should be that of a good 2nd line player.
Again, thank you for your incredible hard work with these databases Manimal. Please let me know what you think about these suggestions, and although it is very late, please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you! Thanks again

I Agree, except for the Boyes part, Boyes is a 2 way forward, his role on the line he is on is to be first back checker.
Also to add to this, Enroth potential should go up, even his current should be raised to a back up.
Nathan Gerbe, should have potential of a 2nd line forward as well.

Re: Lidas Rosters 2010-11; Mistakes, omissions, tweaks etc.
Maybe to late, but some things for Färjestad.
Patrik Lundh should be in Färjestad instead of Bofors
Erik Thorell loan to Sundsvall
Henrik Björklund loan to Rögle BK
Adam Rundqvist loan to Borås
Markus Karlsson loan to Bofors
Peter Wennerström loan to Bofors
Filip Gunnarsson loan to Asplöven
Magnus Nygren recalled from Bofors
Dragan Umicevic to Frölunda
Note: Long time ago I played, so not sure if this three needs to be done.
Jonas Brodin have proven to be a ES-player.
Oscar Klefbom should maybe get a little better aswell, as he have been solid in the ES games he have played.
Andro Michel: I got a weak memory he used to get sent down to Bofors J20, even though he have at today played 56 AS-games and 8 ES-games, should atleast be a AS-goalie ingame.
Thanks for the db!
