Network Game

Post by youppipwns »

I did everything stated in the link below for the Network game but I keep getting ["IP ADDRESS" could not be joined.]

http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/wiki/inde ... n_EHM_2007

I was wondering if you have any other ideas for why it's not working?

Do you start with "New Network Game" or "Load Network game"?
(It has to be a game created in solo mode then you start by loading "Load Network game")but you probably know that. :-k

Use this link to view your IP : http://www.whatismyip.com/

Which version of Windows are you using?

Are you running it across a LAN or the internet? This will affect which IP address you need to use.

Have you tried temporarily disabling firewalls and anti-virus scanners just to see if you can connect. This would help isolate the cause of the issue.

Make sure you're giving your friends your internet IP rather than your LAN IP. You can find it here: http://www.whatsmyip.org/

If disabling your AVG and firewall doesn't work, the issue may relate to the settings of your router.

I had the same problem trying to play the game with my brother. In the end we just gave up on it. Now I only play multiplayer games with EHM 2005.

Problems with multiplayer gaming is a known issue with EHM 07. I guess they intended to fix it in future releases, but those never happened, so we're stuck with this.

Never had problems with EHM2007, must be your router's settings.
You need a static IP and open ports on your router.

Use the IP you get through Hamachi. Most likely 5.XXX.XXX.XXX.

It's in your Hamachi-created room.
