Well at least you got to see what I was talking about with Neely. The guy is still an ox. I can image that when he's all fired up and excited, he can hurt a guy with a high five! :-D

I didn't hear about Kessel. I sure hope he's okay. He's been great since he worked his way into the lineup. I don't know if it was a case of him needing to be sent a message and the benching putting a fire under his butt or maybe he should've been dressed the whole series but whatever the case is... he's made a difference!

The kids have been great! Sobotka and Lucic are getting some great experience in this playoff series and they're sure earning their ice time. Great work on those goals tonight! I've been more impressed by the play of the kids than I have with many of the vets. I guess it's all about finding a good mix though, right?

Except for Sturmy the Bruins goal scorers tonight are 19 and 20 years old. So yeah, the kids are stepping up. With that being said, vets aren't doing too bad either. Except Murray. Not that the Bruins have too many of them anyway. Especially pleased with Schaefer and Hnidy. They play very clever and composed. Savard not doing too bad for his first playoff appearance.

Eventhough I agree with you, no matter what happens Monday we can and have to be proud of the team, I sure hope the team's approach is slightly different.

Murray needs to go in the off-season. He really does. I know there has been all sorts of talk about how great of a locker room leader he has been and how the guys really look up to him but... enough. He's not earning even half of his $4M per season. If they can get something for him, great. If not, buy him out and free up some cap space. Schaefer has really surprised me. He's stepped it up in the playoffs. He wasn't so great throughout the regular season.

Don't get me wrong, I want the Bruins to win Monday but they won't lose any of my respect if they don't. I wouldn't worry about their approach though. They're hungry for this! There is no way they don't bring their A game Monday. If they don't win it, it will be because things just didn't roll their way.

I was bit surprised when I checked results this morning. Expected Habs to finish those Bruins off. Real respect for them that they are fighting real hard, coming from 3-1 to 3-3 against a 1st seeded Habs. Nice...

And the Duckies are out. I wonder how long before Burke confirms he's taking over as GM in T.O. :-p

So now it's sure: we'll crown a new champ this season! :D

Habs-Bruins game 7 tonight... Well... Being eliminated by the B's in 1/4 final, it's PRICEless... for everything else, there is mastercard.... :D

E4 Bure and Nonis to Toronto. Murray to Anaheim...the Murray that is there not the one in Ottawa.

And Shadd--don't get too excited..the new champ will not be the Flemmes.

And--will the Babies from beantown be able to get to Price again? Nope. Montreal 4 Boston 0.

Bah! Babies? I don't think so! I will agree that it's the kids on the team that are getting it done though. I say the Bruins win tonight, 3-2.

Babies because 1/2 the team is younger than Carey Price. But not a bad thing. You know what I think of Milan

I think that even if the Bruins don't win tonight, this playoff series is going to be huge for Lucic's development. He's been getting some quality icetime playing on a line with Savard and Murray. Too bad they don't have somebody with more left in the tank than Murray on that RW though.

The Bruins are really looking good in terms of prospects. On top of all the kids on the Boston roster, they've got themselves a nice farm team in Providence. Those kids are doing really well down there too, despite losing so many players to call-ups. Rask just got his first playoff shutout the other night too!

One of the local Boston sportwriters for the Boston Herald lead off his article about the Bruins today with this Herb Brooks quote that I thought was quite fitting for the Bruins. I'm going to post it here and hopefully it will work some good mojo for the Bruins...

"Great moments are from great opportunity. And that's what you have here tonight, boys. That's what you've earned here tonight. One game... Screw 'em. This is your time. Now go out there and take it!" - Herb Brooks to the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team before playing the Russians.

Good luck to the Bruins tonight! They've made it to game 7 because they earned it. Now they've just got to go out there and take it!

I am trying to look at the whole situation as a Slovak.

On Bruins side it's Chara, on the Habs side it's Halak who probably won't play a game in playoff.

And because Chara said no to World Championships, and Habs is more powerful team atm I say...Habs! Yes!

But still kudos for B's trailing 3-1 and coming from behind to tie it. Good series, hardcore rivalry.

And if Bruins gets eliminated, Sweden gets P.J. Axelsson, I hope. He's always good in the national team.
Habs doesn't have any swede.

Bruins is putting up a good effort though and this can turn out either way.

Habs have no Swedes..therefore they win. Of course I am coming from a living in Vancouver perspective..where Swedes either don't make the playoffs, or do nothing in the playoffs. If I was in Detroit I would think differently.

Other than Edler, every Swede in Vancouver should be traded straight up for a Finn.

:-p

Edler is probably going to make the team in the World Championship, at least I so. In the tournament before WC, in which Sweden lost all their games, he was quite good. At least the game I saw on television. :-p :-D

I'm going Boston all-the-way on this one.

Because if they beat Montreal(and the Flyers go on to beat Washington tonight, which they most-likely will), it'll be Flyers-Rangers second round. And that'll be exciting as hell to watch. Definitely better than Flyers-Montreal, in my opinion. Though, I guess hearing the Montreal fans continue to boo Briere every few seconds would be entertaining enough. :-p

1,000 posts for me!!! Which means it's time for the Richard Nixon smilie!... :ohyeah:

Yeah, and if Caps is eliminated Nylander and Bäckström gets available. And Russia may get a heck of a player, that I've forgot the name of. :-p

Congrats on your 1000 post, I'm soon there as well. :loveyouman: :groupwave:

What happened is Price stood on his freaking head. :-D

First period was all Bruins - Habs scored early, but the B's really took it to 'em. Price kept them in with a ton of monster saves. Second period it all came apart for the B's. Streit scored a ridiculous goal making the D and Thomas look silly and it was all over from there... =D>

I'm pulling for a Philly victory tomorrow. I would rather have them than the Rags. They scare me. :help:
