Duchene got traded in a three teams trade! :-o Avs got Samuel Girard in the trade. :joy: Definitely it's way too much for Duchene but Sakic in the end got what he wanted I guess.

Nashville get Turris, who signed for 6 years at 36 millions.

Ottawa gets Duchene.

Colorado gets Girard, Vladislav Kamenev, Shane Bowers, OTT 1st round pick 2018, NASH second round pick 2018, OTT third round pîck 2018 and Andrew Hammond.

Everyone got what they wanted. Nashville needed a top center. Ottawa got Duchene without losing Chabot or White, or both, and they finally got rid of Hammond. And the Avs got a bunch of young prospects and 3 high draft picks.

Good trade for Nashville and Ottawa, and we'll have to see just have to wait a few years to see if it was a good deal for the Avs.

I really love this trade before the season!
Jori Lehtera vs. Brayden Schenn
This season 1 point vs 18 points. :-D

What the heck, I've never heard of that trade in the off-season! What the Dickens! Why did the Flyers sent Schenn away? :-k

Still, Schenn shown more skills than Lehtera through his career. Are the Flyers really that tight with the cap?

The Flyers also received the 1st round pick(27th overall) from the Blues in that trade which is worth mentioning, I think.

So, we all know what happened to Shipachyov, however, he gave a translation just after he signed with SKA. Still good to see his own words:

Habs claimed Niemi off the waivers. What the hell? :-k

While Price and Montoya are injured, Lindgren is doing god's work at the moment. Maybe they only picked him to back Lindgren since Fucale isn't really NHL material but even there, is Niemi still NHL material?! :D

Hahaha! :-D Exactly what I thought. Florida had him as a backup, but I don't understand why. They have Harri Säteri in AHL which is a better goalie (they're AHL team is bad, so he can't do Lindros there). Seems like Niemi just flows around in teams that might need a GK in NHL.

Seriously living that kind of situation must be hard on the norale. Three teams in less than a month.

10 games for Witkowski.

The real question here now is if Tkachuk gets anything. My suspicion would be no, because the league is a bunch of chicken poops.

Mtl offered Phoenix their first win in regular time! :-D

The Avs played a huge game against Washington. Five pts for MacK.

Branden Schenn got three pts in a win and he's got 14 pts in his last six games. That trade you talked about CJ keeps being one sided by alot. :D

Mtl fans going nuts on various social networks, and I can understand their anger.

Price again has "day-to-day" injury that lasts for a few weeks.. And big names not showing up is concerning.

MTL has always been good with the mystery injuries. Most of the teams are not ashamed of saying this or that player will be out 3-5 weeks but here it's always "day-to-day" that last 3 to 4 weeks. I really don't get it.

I don't get it either, it only raises question about the player's situation, and in the case of Price, it's not for the best outcome.

I see everyone bringing questions whether his injury is serious or not (aka : "did the big thing come back again and will keep him out for long ?").

Montréal's management is really not on the comfy zone lately..

As far as I remember, since Bergevin is there they have ALWAYS been evasive when it came to injuries. Especially with Price. Maybe he's prone to something tha they fear is back (he got a problem with his knee two or three years ago) and probably because they just gave him a ridiculous contract, they fear the backslash if they let out the truth. I'm sure alot of people would be mad if they announced that Carey's knees are weak 3 months after signing a huge deal. :D

Agreed.

To me it's another reason not too hide injuries with this "day to day" name for teams. It's too evasive and opens up for much more speculation than telling the truth, or at least something close to it.

Last year would have already been better for habs if they said right from the start "Price is injuried, it's not going to be a few days, he'll be back when 100%, we count on backups to step up and take their game to the highest level for at least a couple months" .

Same for the current situation, if Price is down until 2018, say it, and do stuff about it in the organisation (i.e : explain clearly why you claim Niemi).

It's well known that Montréal's fanbase is hardcore and not easy to deal with, but Bergevin is not helping himself with this since he took the job..

Was a very entertaining game: Washington - Toronto. Washington first up 3-0, but Toronto comes back to 3-2 in the third, and then press on for the equalizer. Ovechkin with a hat trick reclaims his spot as league leader in goals. Washington wins 4-2 with an empty netter. 8-)

Boston in particular has 2 or 3 games in hand on the others, but yeah. DET's 5 OTL's where they got a Loser Point have helped their cause. TB and TOR are the only two teams in the Flortheast that have + Goal Differentials.

"Center Adam Henrique, forward Joseph Blandisi and a third-round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft were acquired by the Anaheim Ducks in a trade with the New Jersey Devils on Thursday for defenseman Sami Vatanen and a conditional third-round draft pick."
