I'm one of the one who hates the word mark.

Going to the shoulder patch as the main logo would make it better, IMO... :bs:

I like the uniform - all teams should go back to the "Good 'ole Style", forget about these 3D, action shirts and complicated anime logos. :thdn:

That being said, I agree with the rest of the world: we all know it's Vancouver, no need to spell it out for us. Why not draw a map of the city instead, with all the major attractions of the city? Maybe in the back? So that we'll know where to visit, once we get there...

BLEH! :-?

Never really understood why Canucks have a shark in their logo either. I'm no marine biologist, but when I think of Canada, I think of mountains and forrests - sharks to my knowledge live somewhere in the pacific, where they eat people for lunch. - Like in San Jose, California...

Nothing makes sense right now... too early in the morning...

Tasku..it is a whale. A killer whale...supposedly...looks kind of constipated though. We are known for our whale pods off the coast here, but yeah...Orca Bay mean anything?

Orca Bay? No, can't say that it does...

A whale, huh? Looks more like a shark to me... Whales are big and fat, sharks are slim and sporty. :-k

Hmm... anyways, live and learn... :dunno:

Must've been before my time that the Canucks had these colors. We didn't see them out on the East coast that much but I grew up with the Canucks in the black and orange/yellow/whatever uniforms. Those new colors are close enough to what the Whalers had to bring them to mind.

Maybe they should ditch the Orca and the word "Vancouver", replace it with a big pot leaf with a big V behind it? :-p

I didn't realize Ricky Williams had started playing hockey with the Canucks... but in all seriousness, even that jersey might look better than this. However it may also be too easily confussed with the Leafs Jersey.

Saranis-Vancouver is known for its pot. Well the province of BC is.

Anyway..that would look way to much like the Laffs uniform....

And this uniform..not growing on me. It is doing the opposite.

Tasku- Orca Bay is the company that owned the Canucks until last season. They are the reason that the stupid whale ended up on the uni in the first place. It is the corporate logo of Orca Bay the company. They apparently thought it fit with the Canucks...as does the new owner since he kept the frigging logo on the uniform.

Anyway...me no likey for now. But if the Canucks start the season 15-5 it will be the bestest uni ever!!!11!!1

Oh and the Canucks had the blue and green with the stick in the rink thing from about 1969-1979 or so...so the blue/green was before Hartford was even conceived as a WHA team, never mind an NHL team

HA! GO CANUCKS!

I dont like the flags on the shoulders. That big blue part just looks horrible. Also I hate the Black C, rather have em wear Black and use the red C. Overall: :thdn:

I never liked the black C either. Prefered when they had a red jersey with the white C, like in...let's say... 1989? :D

I kinda like the new (York) Islanders jersey. It kinda reminds me of a 1970's sweatshirt, but not in a tacky way... can't really say why I like it then, but I do.

Geez, that was fast, you linked to me before I was even done with that thread. =D>
I agree though, I like the newer Blue. Too many teams use dark tones. I wana see some Lime green Jersey used. Itd be ugly but at least it would be a change.

Well...you could have had bright orange with yellow and black....you want color....but yeah..I know what you mean I kind of like the new fishstick uni too. Bright colors will go "bang" on TV. Washington, The Isles, Vancouver...do have the bright colors right. HD will be kind to those colors.

God..that one in the middle is hideous. Who is that? Hatcher? I mean, I knew the NHL had passed him by, but holy jesus..that is one ugly uni! :-D

Flyers should have never gone to black. I hate it. Want my red-orange back. The orange here is too orange, but not as bad as Vancouver unis.

WHat the hell is that DAllas home jersey? And the Islanders is bad, bad, bad..now that I really look at it. So is the Flyers. ICK!

And the ones without stripey things on the bottom look dumb as all get out .Cool that the Blues have gone back to the light blue from the old days.

But what in gods name are those Panther thingies. And the cartoonators from Ottawa are horrid.

ICK! Almost all the way around .Vancouver actually looks good now that i see so many other ones. But the sharpest are the O-6, Phoenix, Washington...the rest can all go to hell.

Even as one who hates Toronto with an extreme passion, I have to admit that I think they came out with the best jerseys, after seeing them all in Saranis' link.

As for the rest of the league - with the exception of a few other decent jerseys(like Vancouver, Boston, New Jersey, Rangers' home shirt) - well, I think we've got one ugly league going.

Let's just hope the league doesn't issue an order to cover every jersey in sponsorship for next year. [-o<
