For Mac try "The Unarchiver". It's a freeware unpacker.
You can download it here: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/30810

Not getting tracked on my game. I have made about 20 trades/waiver pickups, so there should be plenty in Player in and Out, however nothing is shown.

Actually, for the first season, there is some tracked, but after that, nothing. Without using the database, it works fine.

Ah thanks, I extracted it just as instructed into the database, and got all the .dat files, but was never presented with an option to choose which database. Oh well, it was worth a try. If you have a suggestion let me know.

It's just a question, i know the roster of the CHL arn't done yet. But we do start with very few players at the first season and it's the samething at the second season (we can see that in the QHJML). After a couple of seasons, is it more balance with the Lidas roster 1.0.

[Note: i ain't complaining, just a question]

Don't know...not sure if the research is done. But when it is I assume each team in the CHL will have full rosters. Lots of guys to create to get to that point though.

I've done the research for the OHL. All players from this season is in it. Lidas will create them when he has the time (maybe he already has)

Lidas, can you give an idea of what leagues have been updated so far? and which ones you want to try and update between now and the next release? I am only curious to know so Ican decide if I am going to use the next version, or if I want to keep editing this first version.

To answer your question, Ill just copy in a part of the readme file as it looks now. How more much I add will depend on how much data i recieve in the next couple of days.

***********************************************************************

- Most changes suggested at the TBN board since March 1st 2008.

- NHL, AHL, and ECHL team affiliates.
- North American league structures.
- Traded future NHL and OHL draft picks.
- Unfaked a lot of Swiss players.
- Set thousands of birthdates, which were randomized in the default database.

- Many other leagues are partly updated, and will be completely updated in future versions.

***********************************************************************
Version 1.1
***********************************************************************

- Swedish Elitserien staff, squad numbers, positions, body measurements, and attributes according to the "Shaddsheet".
- Swedish Allsvenskan staff, squad numbers, positions, body measurements, and attributes according to the "Shaddsheet".
- Swedish Juniors staff, squad numbers, positions, body measurements, and attributes according to the "Shaddsheet".

- Swiss National League A promotions/relegations, rosters, and head coaches.

- Ontario Hockey League rosters, staff, attributes and according to the "Shaddsheet".

- SPHL Rosters.
- CHL Rosters.
- IHL Rosters.
- EPHL Rosters.

- Set correct NHL Squad Numbers.

- Removed Youngstown Steelhounds from ECHL and created/added Rapid City Rush.
- Removed Toledo Walleye, Colombia Inferno, and Pensacola Ice Pilots from IHL and made them inactive.
- Moved Edmonton Oil Kings from IHL to Alberta Junior Hockey League.
- Created four new teams + players (EPHL league - Brooklyn Aces, Danbury Mad Hatters, Hudson Valley Bears, and Jersey Rockhoppers) and placed them in IHL.
- Adjusted NHL player contracts.

- Added Junior and/or farm teams to the teams in the updated European leagues.

- Various transfers.
- Various attribute changes.

Due to hard coded league structures, some teams are not in the same leagues as they are in real life. Two AHL teams (Lake Erie Monsters and Rockford Icehogs) have been placed in ECHL, IHL has been merged with the new EPHL into "EIHL", and Edmonton Oil Kings are in AJHL. The KHL teams Barys Astana, Khimik Voskerensk, and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod have been placed in Vysshaya league. Dinamo Riga and Dinamo Minsk remain in their national leagues. Danish Oddset League Totempo HVIK (Hvidovre) remain in the Danish First Division. Austin Ice Bats are in CHL, even though they will not return there until the 2009-2010 season.

Lidas, you wrote that you had changed the attributes in the OHL. You mean the abilities, right? 'Cause I haven't done anything with the attributes

What 2010? :-?

I think what ehmfans suggested was to implement a staff page for the human GM in the database
just like for the other staff in the game.
That way he could edit his own human GM profile by adding likes/dislikes with the pre game editor.

And he asked if that could be realized in another version of Lidas roster, maybe 2010.

I will try to answer my speculation on ehmfans' request. ;)

When you start a new franchise the game creates a new staff profile for your human GM.
You can't create it a prior to the start in the database.
You can take a look at your profile with the saved game editor but i'm not sure if likes/dislikes can be edited then. :-?

Keep up the great work

I thought you couldn't do that

Yeah you can edit the cap. We did for the TBL updates too! :-D. What he means is for guys like Paul Stastny they will not have their extensions in the game at this time, that they received this year. So that the salary they get paid this season (the last year of the original deal they had) is still their cap hit. If he were to add in the extensions, the cap hits would go up tremendously...from about 1 million to 6 million in Stastny's case.

What that means is that for the 2nd year in the game Stastny will be RFA unless you sign him mid season, etc.
