Some short upgrade on the german work ^^ (sorry if it´s not that interesting but i´m too excited about the part on the german juniors ^^)

DEL: Quite ready, a lot of transfers this year and still not finished. But right now i´m up to date there and just need some staff adjustments. And one team needs definitely to be replaced (bankruptcy).

2. Bundesliga: Working on the shaddsheet, but it´s hard to get the +/- statistics from somewhere -.-

DNL (German junior league): Yeah nearly every player needs to be created but it´s worth it. I always had the problem with the grey players in germany after 5-6 seasons. But i edited the 1.2 version of Lidas roster and still had no grey player in the 20th season.
The part i´m so excited about is, that i contacted 7 coaches of the junior league and got a positive response from 5 of them. They will give me their opinion on the potential of the players in that league so i can do not such a random PA on those players. 8-)

My update is only for the database - for the rosters, not for any graphics.

It's not part of my update, but it would be cool if you could make skins, background images, or pictures for players/coaches who currently dont have any pics.

I didn't see another thread with info for the new db so I figured I'd add it here.

There Bruins just announced that they will be affiliated with the Reading Royals of the ECHL next season. Reading will be the ECHL affiliate for both the Bruins and the Leafs.

If you want to, you can create the QMJHL rookies. I.e. the players that are under contract but is not in the database

I'm interested in helping as well. Due to the wonderful world of the internet, I have now been watching Euro hockey during the season. I also attend a fair number of OHL and AHL games each year. Let me know what needs work and how I can help.

AAHA and MWHL have offically Merged. So i will only be doing 1 sheet for them. MWHL didnt play last year, the AAHA had a semi rough time taking in they did lose 1 team with the financial meltdown last year.

Okey, I can start working on Swedish first division again, hopefully in a couple of days. However, there's still division A, B, C, D and F to do and it's middle of Aug. So I'm not sure if I can manage do to all five before you will release the database. Lidas, can you (or anyone else) maybe do some divisions too? :dunno:

I'm swamped with other DB work, so I can't take over there. Maybe someone else can chip in...

In earlier versions of the DB, I chose which teams that would not be able to play in the playable leagues (When there are too many teams and too few spots in the league). This time I'll put up polls so everyone can have their say. I hope many ppl will participate!

Tasku wrote:I don't think there's any point updating the Finnish SM-liiga next year, because the foreign rule will change.

In the game teams in Finland have four foreign player maximum. In real life this will change to the Elitserien style, where EU players will not be counted as foreign.

In another words with the 2009-10 updated rosters you could have a team with 10 EU players, out of which none would be counted as foreign in the new rules, but all would be foreign in EHM, making it impossible to use them.
We definitely need updated SM-liiga :). The new foreign rule has not effected the league that much. Only TPS has over 5 foreign players and six teams have no foreign players at the moment.

I don't know what's the situation with SM-liiga is at the moment, but like i said, it should be updated if someone can do that. There still is many EHM players in Finland.

Done a lot of British player movement the weekend and I'll sort out the league structure soon as well, unfortunately all of the research I can do at the moment is on my iPhone so it may take a bit longer than hoped!

I'm gonna be getting together the list of NHL staffers this or next week.

Any news on if we can update the NHL league and team records?

Sounds good!

I believe we can edit them - in the records_config file. It will not be 100% correct in the future though, since all players are missing stats from the last 2 seasons.

If you've got the time, sure - go ahead!
It would be great if you could give me the final data in the same format as it is in the record_config so I can save some time by just copying it into the file.

I'm soon done with A and B, just one thing:

" Readme file is just growing and growing...
...Swedish First Division ...rosters to the 2008-09 season. "

When I did E, I took the 09/10 rosters (so that could have been messed up if you have started working on that), so should I put in 08/09 rosters in the rest of the divisions or just leave it blank?

And how about the transfers, is it any idea to fill that in, when its gonna be 08/09 rosters?
