Guys, start with downloading the prospect research sheet. Then head on to the HF site and look up the team you're researching. Turn the grades from the site into PA according to the sheet and then look at the scouting reports and change the attributes that need to be changed. The research sheet is a good guide. If any special questions arise, just post them on here and we'll help you out

Nevermind, found it. How do we know which players to input data for. Just the ones on the HF web site, or every player on their roster? Also, do i fill in info for every tab or just certain ones?

Basically, open up Hockey's Future and do all of the Top 20 prospects for the team you've volunteered for. If at all possible, continue with that team's Notable Prospects also. Some players won't have anything written under the Talent Analysis section of HF but I simply continue with some research at EliteProspects or other websites.
Where you see zeros in the pre-game editor, you should add a value that reflects the player's current ability there because leaving a zero there will just make that skill for that particular player random upon game startup.
And it's easiest for Manimal if you simply input the values which require changing onto the spreadsheet. If not, leave it blank so he's not trying to check one skill at a time.
I hope I have this accurate and to your liking, Manimal.
Cheers and good luck,
Leeman

SJ.
Ok, so I've got the name, birthdate (3 years older than actual), and hieght and weight. 2 questions:
1. Do I base the -22 or +22 PA on actual birthdate or the birthdate 3 years older.
2. How do I translate "talent Analasys" into the CA points, or should I just stick to basics for now and just input PA based on grade?

I don't understand your first question.
For the second one just stick to PA.
BTW, they should be 4 years older than actual

In research template, there is the list of HF grade and what that means in PA, which is broken up in 2 columns, over 22 and under 22. When I input that PA, do I base their age on actual birthdate or 4 years older.
So for example, Joe Smith is ACTUALLY 21 years old, but after changing his birthdate, he is now 25 (still 21 in the game though). Does he get the under or over rating. I hope that simplifies it for you.
I have finished SJ, just have to change birthdates back 1 year, but the file is on another computer, will send in thursday or friday, and if any teams left to do I will be happy to do them.

Ah, now I understand!
Use the actual birthdate. Joe Smith would be under 22.
You don't have to change the birthdates, as most guys are already in the db and already aged.
Feel free to do another team, just check the first post in this thread

Well, I guess we'd all like to play with new rosters sooner than later. So, that being said, I'll take a look at my upcoming sked, and if I can make it work, I'll take on another team.

Hey guys, I really apologize but I can't complete the prospects of Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche. I just can't find the time to do it.
I'm sorry.

How far did you get? I could take them over if you want. I'm just about done school so I'll have some free time to work on them and should be able to finish them before Christmas at the latest. Plus Colorado is my favorite team.
