I agree that Cammy is clutch in the playoffs, but he is not what I would call a consistent, natural scoring talent. The Habs really lacked consistent offensive threats. If you look at the Flyers, they have Richards, Carter, Briere, JVR, Giroux, Hartnell. Any one of those guys would be a Habs top liner (Hell, Zherdev would be on their first line). That roster is very weak.
Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. Though Cammalleri and Gionta proved that when they play with good players they can score goals and pts. If it wasn't for the injuries, Cammy and Gionta at their first season with MTL could have almost got 40 goals each, that's not bad. They also proved in the past they can have good seasons, so why when arriving at MTL almost every "good" players ended up with 40-45 pts seasons?? That's simple, the boring style of play of mister Martin. MTL got a decent offensive team if they were allowed to go offence and not defence, that's goddamn boring sometimes to watch their games! Dump, icing, dump, icing, dump, icing etc......
Sometimes they make weird choice on the line-up too ( I know I'm not the coach ) but why Martin keep putting Moen on the first line when a guy like Darche as the heart and the willing of no one else in the team? He play physics, sacrifice himself, block shots, go in front of the net ( almost the only player that if doing that in the team ). when I see Moen on the PP and Darche on the bench I just don't understand that. I know Darche will not end up with 50 pts but he could have reach at leaast 40 pts and + this year, he was already 26 in 59, not that bad for that kind of player! Moen with alot of PP time and icitime on the first line? 16 pts and -4. That's a reason I don't like MTL. Next year they better give a proper chance to Desharnais, Pax and some others young guy. Not on the fourth line, on the second with PP or PK time. Lindros Gomez, I don't care if he plays on the fourth even if he is paid 7 millions per year.
