I really hope those two gets fired. I'm so tired of their mentality to stay will old dinosaurs at the lead of the team. Spacek was really appreciated by his teamates it seems, alot of them are dissapointed that he is gone now. As for Kaberle, a fourth team in a couple of months, that can't be good for his moral.

He really hopes....Manimal did you hear that? A guy who claims he is not a Habs fan, wants Habs management fired. :-D I am not a Habs fan...and I want those two morons to stay there and screw them up forever. Same as how I was disappointed when Calgary finally fired a Sutter. Thank god they still have one there. :-D

Well I wouldn't wish to have some jerk like that to any organization to start with, that's just pathetic. When I first started to like hockey, I never liked the way the Habs managed their team and it's still the case. It's like a car on the ice with sports tire, keep staying at the same spot. Sometimes there's signs of improvement but they slide off the next season. They are lucky to have so much passionated ( crazy ) fans.

Gah I'm really sorry to hear Martin St.Louis has been injured indefinitely following a puck to the face. What makes it worse is that it has ended his consecutive games streak at 499.

Yeah that really sucks for Martin. I was dissapointed to hear that in the news and it's not even playing in a game, what bad luck. :thdn: At least if he could've got his 500 game....

Totally sucks for St Louis...especially since it was in practice. Imagine how ( I forget who it was...fill in the blank) the player who shot it feels. Was it Moore?

Pronger--What a mess. COncussion, knee surgery, virus? What is it? This dude is having a horrible horrible run of luck right now. That being said...I know many (including myself) do not really like him that much for his personality. Sucks though so bad. How is that contract the FLyers gave him looking now? He is gonna retire soon due to these injuries I bet...Flyers will then get him on INJURED RESERVE for the next 5 years.

Not a surprise really. John Stevens in for now. Lombardi apparently not happy about having to make this move. Shredded the players in an hour long meeting with them

There's an interesting-looking documentary on the Flyers v Rangers in preparation of the Winter Classic here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCvJXxxq69Y

I've only watched the first five minutes but will watch the rest this afternoon (it's an hour long). It looks like an interesting perspective that I personally have never seen before because we don't get any TV shows on hockey in the UK.

Advisory: There is extensive usage of the 'F' word throughout!

Probably because of Tortorella? :-D

Edit: Jacques Martin as finally been fired by the Canadiens! :-o I was expecting it but not at this time of the year. It seems that his stupid error with his line-up in the past few games didn't help is cause.

Yup I think he accounted for a good 75% of it! :D

It's a really interesting documentary - I'd highly recommend it.

HBO 24/7 is hilarious. It is some of the best stuff. Have you seen the one from last year guys? Bruce Boudreau became an instant star, just for looking like a fat, foulmouthed fool. It was amazing stuff though.

This version, Flyers-Rangers is basically going to be alot tamer. The players and coaches will be more aware of what the HBO guys are looking for and are not likely to be as stupid.

Hilites of episode 1:

1. Ilya Bryzgalov and the universe and tigers.
2. Avery
3. Tort's absolute tear down of Brian Boyle

Off to a decent start...but not as good as Boudreau Christmas shopping or the f-bomb laced shredding of the Capitals in between periods.

Poor Maxime Talbot...2 years in a row has to put up with this.

In other news...Philou's favorite team and coach have parted ways.

I would totally agree with the top three highlights. Bryzgalov was hilarious!! :D

I'll have to see if I can find the Boudreau one on Youtube. There's one on Scott Niedermayer which is next on my list to watch.

Btw, it looks like the Bruins destroyed the Flyers. I haven't watched the game yet though. Still, 6-0 is looking good.

I couldn't find the 24/7 Caps/Pens show on Youtube, but I found the DVD on Amazon.com. It should arrive with me in mid-Jan. 8-)

A week without hockey and I feel totally out of touch... I've always found the league tough to follow owing to the 82 week schedule. Time to see what all this fuss regarding Lucic is all about... :-D

P.s. Here's episode 2 of the Rangers/Flyers 24/7: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rva4x-qvtwU . Personally I found the first episode more interesting, but the second one still isn't too bad. Bryzgalov really is turning into the star of the show! :D

I have to laugh at that pic. And while it has been a long time (WAY TOO LONG) since the Leafs have won the Cup, I'm surprised that Montreal ahsn't collectivly exploded yet. They have an anglophone coach, and they are approching 20 years without a cup. It's their longest drought since the cups from '31 to '44.

People need to chill out about the Cup in MTL. First their team sucks to improve themselves and nothing is about to change. Secondly, in the "new" NHL ( maybe since 15 years ) Winning constantly Stanley Cup is impossible. People in Qc still think MTL can go back to ther super dream-team from the past and winning 4 Cup in a row. Not possible at all. Some team barely managed to win 2 Cups in 10 years like New-Jersey and Detroit.

Its certainly a tough season to watch as a Habs fan, can you imagine what it was like as a Leafs fan to go 6-7 years of this. The good news there are still 45 games left, lots of time to move up the standings ladder. But I agree that folks need to temper thier thinking if they think this group as it stands will be able to compete for a Cup soon. But there are some positives on the horizon, players like Pacioretty, Leblanc, Emelin, Subban and Price will only continue to improve. I love the move for Cole, dispite a slow start he will still likely score 25-30 goals and even Eller shows signs of being a future top six player at times.

With 30 teams, the average team will go 30 years without a CUP, some will go nearly 50... :** not mentioning any names of course of teams that play in barns named after an Airline and have their own PR department abtly named "Hockey Night in Canada".

Episode 3 of 24/7 here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE404lCg ... e=youtu.be

I'll be watching it first thing tomorrow!

Apparently Bryzgalov Jnr makes an appearance (as does his dog)! Also, there's more footage from the refs. The second episode showed a fascinating clip with the refs resting between periods.
