What I hate about the Panthers is their 18 losses in shootout/OT. Which gave them way more points that they deserved IMO. If they would've finished the season with less than 14 OT loss they wouldn't have made the playoffs.

No he doesn't. Nik Lidstrom. No....no he does not. Holtby may not have been a Vezina candidate in that series but he was the better of the two goalies. Washington out Bruined the Bruins.

Heh! Now there's an idea... :-k :-D

Btw, this Chris Kreider is having a dream start to his NHL career. Straight out from the NCAA into the Playoffs and goes and scores a goal. =D> He's so quick as well.

I saw the Rangers and Caps last night and that was one boring game. I don't think I'm gonna watch that series unless there is a game seven.
Now I am watching the Devils and Flyers and it is a totally different game

Yeah it wasn't the most exciting of games. That Flyers-Devils game was something else, though.

Time to see how my predictions went and make predictions for this round:
Western Conference
LA Kings v Vancouver Canucks WRONG
San Jose Sharks v St Louis Blues RIGHT
Chicago Blackhawks v Phoenix Coyotes WRONG
Detroit Red Wings v Nashville Predators WRONG

Eastern Conference
Ottawa Senators v New York Rangers RIGHT
Washington Capitals v Boston Bruins WRONG
New Jersey Devils v Florida Panthers RIGHT
Philadelphia Flyers v Pittsburgh Penguins WRONG
Hmmm a measly 3/8 is bad. :\ But then who'd have thought the Canucks, Hawks and Wings would have dropped out in the first round against those teams!

My predictions for this round:

Western Conference
LA Kings v St Louis Blues
Nashville Predators v Phoenix Coyotes

Eastern Conference
Washington Capitals v New York Rangers
New Jersey Devils v Philadelphia Flyers

Well I thought my ratio of 4/8 was bad I can now be a little bit prouder. :-p

Well Nashville wasn't the kind of team IMO that you could qualify as "those teams". They are pretty good and to me it was obvious they were gonna win against DET but not as easily to be honest. Now it's the opposite against PHO. :\ Even if I would love to see them coming back I got the feeling that the 2-0 lead by PHO is already really big. I cannot imagine that we will see the Yotes in the WCF, ridiculous. They better thank Mike Smith for that because I don't see anything else that can make this team goes this far, except maybe Dave Tippet who is doing an awesome job with what he got.

3 out of 8 as well, that was bad, a little late prediction for the Conference semi finals as well but here it is:

LA Kings vs St. Louis Blues
Nashville Predators vs Phoenix Coyotes

Washington Capitals vs New York Rangers
New Jersey Devils vs Philadelphia Flyers

I was 5 for 8 in the first round. I don't think I posted my picks here, but I'm doing the NHL.com bracket challenge. I only got one series right in terms on number of games though (although I picked the wrong team, I picked Vancouver in 5)

My second round in the West isn't looking to good right now, as I had St. Louis over LA and Nashville over Phoenix. I know they can still win, but the games for the Pho/Nas series will be wrong if Nashville wins the series

4 out of 8. Better than I thought I was. But my # of games were all wrong.

ah...The Radulov effect is in full force. Preds announce Radulov and Andrei Kostytsin will not play game 3. Out in the bar too late prior to game 2. Atta boy Rad's...way to buy into the program. And Andrei? Yeah we all know Radulov talked him into it. Or not...HAHAHAHAAHA. Knew Rad's would screw that team up.

That didn't surprised me too. I'm surprise though that Sergei K isn't involved! :-p The Preds have done well here, even in playoffs, trailing 0-2, no time to do the party. :badcop:

Marc Bergevin is now the new GM of the Canadiens. Didn't watch the press conference but he seems to be a good guy with a better mentality than Gauthier and more skilled too.

Bergevin will be a good addition. And he is a VERY VERY funny guy. He is smart and understands the game. I guarantee one thing: Montreal will get bigger size wise.

Yeah I've heard that he is really nice and funny, which is cool to see in MTL compare to the two death clowns from before. I'm curious to see if that old mentality will finally change in MTL.

That doesn't look like they think about it that much. I'm very surprised to see a team make such decisions in the playoffs but don't get me wrong, I like that. Finally a team who shows some character.
