I pretty much want to draft this guy only for his impossible to pronounce name. Gotta bunk up some low picks for the next draft! :-p

With a name that long he might require two picks! :-D

One for each part of the name?

Ouch, Bärtchi busted his MCL and is gone for the reminder of the season. Time to see if Shinkaruk can play the second line as a regular! :help:

Just lost 0-4 to the Flames, again. 11 straight losses against them. ](*,)

Edit: Make it 12!

Eight games before the regular season end in third year it looks we may qualify for playoffs. I should finish third season tomorrow and I am going to rush through season four during the weekend.
Horvat is having breakout season, Eriksson Ek has been doing well too.
Utica is smashing every opponent to bits.

15 games onto season 2 and still having trouble with this team . 5-8-2 record.
Tried to play a bit more defensive this year but that doesn't seem to be working. So in game 16 used default Run and gun tactics..... we beat San Jose 9-2. Eureka !!!
Won game 17 as well but only 4-3 but hey, a win is a win. All players getting 7s and 8s game ratings instead of 5s and 6s.
But can it last ?

I've tried this challenge but I ended up stuck below the salary floor. How the hell are you supposed to be above it? Most players under 24 make 2mil or less each...

Tricky Question.

Am i allowed to trade the rights of a player?

This is the situation i'm in:
End Season 2, Jared Cowen (26) will not sign a new contract (wants to be traded - cannot met his demands), i gave him a Qualifying Offer so he is a RFA now.
Can i use my "under veteran age" trade choice to get something for him?

Nope. No trading of player rights in or out. You're only allowed to trade contracted players or draft picks.

Just a reminder: The challenge will be wrapping up on Monday. We'll launch a new challenge on Tuesday!

Ok. Thanks. So i will offer him the best contract in EHM-History to get him signed.....and then trade him for the tactic batdad is using. ;)
unbelievable how he manages to allow so few goals against. :-?

Finished season 1, sucked of course.

Think I'm done with this challenge since I don't really see how I am going to improve my team enough and the trades I made weren't good.

-Mrazek was a waste, not much better than Markstrom and even if he gets better in the future Demko is on his way
-Despres was a waste. Got him to be my defensive D man but didnt realize his bravery was 6. Think thats why my PK was so low before I changed him
-Saad/Mantha are great on the wing...but wingers are easier to replace
-Center is the real problem. I have no center and can't legitimately trade for one under 24 thats good anyways. So I think I'm just going to be doomed at center forever basically

Might re-try with another idea I had just for fun before the next challenge comes up

It took five seasons for me to even get out of the basement. Some GM's here are superhuman good! :dunno:

I would trade my whole team for a tactics for any of the other GM's that made the playoffs in the second season.

So probably the last season done and we ended up 10th with bad injuries crushing all playoff hope in the last games.

Novak made a decent upgrade to Scheifele on 2C, no defense but it's fun to see him skate through a whole team at full speed.
Cleaned up the team and got rid of a contract by trading Oullete and Grigorenko for a very promising young D in Zach Warenski.
Utica were over-stacked with D so Clendening went away for 4th and 7th round picks.
I never warmed up to Horvat and Subban also needed to go to make more space in Utica and contracts, got a 1st, 5th, 6th and 7th pick for them.

Demko
Lehner
Goaltending was bad with both Demko and Lehner having awful streaks at .700 - .850 for a number of games in a row. They mostly had them at the same time ](*,) . Both ended up with around .900 at the end. I want to trade Lehner but I don't have any decent prospect even close to ready to take over.

Our PK was awful, but that was expected since I barely have any defensive forwards left. PP rocketed from abysmal to quite good at the end of the season but there was too little left on the season to get above 13.9%

Theodore - Pokka
Both these offensive D played quite good and as expected took the first pairing together. Their wonderful playmaking matches my puck-possession tactics well.

Sean Day - Petrovic
Day was a bit of an disappointment and only evolved into a one dimensional defensive D. He only went -9 though.
Petrovic is and enigma as he is super-streaky to say the least. The worst thing about him is that he throws his team into PK all the time but I kind of need his right stick.

Lindbohm - Andersson
Lindbohm was supposed to be traded but surprised me with 22 assists so he stayed.
Rasmus Andersson was a liability everywhere I put him and he surprisingly provided no offense, despite playing with Theodore at times.

Ken Hill
His 19 in passing suits the team well but his lack of speed kills his offensive game and that together with his subpar defense made him play a lot in Utica.

Steel - Hischier - Lazar
Steel won the Calder and Lady Byng with his 67 points.
Hischier is becoming a stud 1C leading my team in +/-.
Lazar will probably be a point per game guy next season on the with.

Bärtschi - Novak - Yakupov
Yakupov was a beast! He was trigger-happy at 47 goals and only 26 assists, He could have gone past 50 if he didn't get injured the last two games.
Bärtschi had another strong season but got injured for three months.
Novak scored 29 points in 41 games and went -5, quite happy with that rookie performance.

Shinkaruk - McCann - Görtz
Shinkaruk went from brutal to decent at the and and had quite some time on the top lines due to injuries. He went from almost nothing to 29 points at the later half of the season.
McCann seems to have lost all offense, both with the Nucks and Utica, at only 12 in 62. He even played in the top two as a fill-in but he just killed the offense. I need him for PK though.
Görtz provided nice counter attacking skill to the line but racks up a bit too much minus still, although improving.

Horvat - Leifvenius - Blomstrand
Horvat was brutal so got rid of him.
Leifvenius was great at first but fell apart a bit at the end, but it was a rookie year. He is the only really good PK guy I got and looks to become a stud!
Blomstrand fell apart bad at the end and I don't know why. He will probably run the pk next year again.

Virtanen
Did nothing with any chances he had.

----------------------------------------

Edit:
This Yakupov guy is starting off pretty hot. At this speed he will crush his 47 goals from last season by a large margin. =D>

Is this the most popular challenge? 41 pages and many participants....
I still have the saves and screenshots on my computer. Was a good memory.
