Haven't been able to play EHM lately. Having an issue with the new update.
I play on a Mac so I'm using "PlayOnMac". When I start Steam it commences automatically downloading the new update but freezes right before completing the download. Tried several times and have the same issue every time. If I pause the download, Steam works fine but will freeze every time it nears completion of the update. Any ideas?

I'm having issues with PlayOnMac. For some reason it wouldn't load even though it said 'running'. It wasn't in the force quit menu either.

I re-downlaoded PlayOnMac, without any of the player photos, logos etc. It works, but as soon as I add graphics it says 'runnin'g when it clearly isn't.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

TealShark wrote:I decided to throw together a pre-built Wineskin wrapper for the new EHM for anyone still having issues getting it to run under Crossover or Wine.

This wrapper includes a pre-installed Steam (though it's up to you log into your account) and an installed Wineskin engine that eliminates the random mouse click issue some Mac users have run into.

Steps for use:
1. Download and unzip the pre-built wrapper here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/367 ... anager.zip
Hello! Now that Dropbox has made all of it's public folders private, could you do me a favor and provide a direct link to your Wineskin wrapper?

Much appreciated!

Does anyone have a wrapper working on Mac OS Sierra (10.12)?

Would appreciate if it was shared in here! :D

Edit: I got it working just reinstalling Steam on a new virtual drive with PlayOnMac. Everything is fine now. :joy:

I can get the game to run, but I can't seem to get logo packs or other add-ons to work. Any help?

You'll need to navigate to the correct game installation folder using your Mac or the emulation software. This should help you find the folders: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/wiki/inde ... rly_Access

Hmm, I think that's what I was doing. It'll load fine if it's default, but as soon as I alter those files it goes haywire and says it's already open. I'll double check. I'm using Play on Mac too. Maybe there's a better emulation out there.

I'm having the same problems, do I need to download the rosters from the Steam workshop or should I just download them from here? I'm not very tech savvy and I'm using play on Mac so if anyone would be so kind as to give me a quick walkthrough as to what I do from the time I download the game in steam to having it set up with NHL players and rosters that would be an absolute godsend

For the rosters you should be able to download them from the Steam Workshop. After that the game doesn't seem to want to accept any alterations.

Gotcha, all I really want is the rosters at the moment. I downloaded them from the Steam workshop and they say that they're active within the preferences window in EHM with the checkboxes next to it but when I go to start a career they just have the rando players

When you go to new game you should have the option to select which database to use. From there you can pick the default, three historic sets and the downloaded one

Hey guys, I am currently running EHM with Play on Mac and everything is working great. The one issue is getting the in game editor to work (as I want to add the trades that happened this past week). Has anyone had any success working the editor on mac? Thanks in advance

So..
Adam Oates.

After several hours of trying to make the game work, it finally did. And of course, I got greedy and wanted to play in full-screen. Now Steam says the game is running, but it's not, and it's no f-ing way of turning it off. Re-installing the game didn't work, it still opens in invisible full-screen.

Don't tell me I have to re-install Steam as well? Any idea's?

Edit:
No worries, after much "hacking" I made it work. Don't ask me how, but it does.

Here From Toronto (HELP)

I just bought the game after wanting to play a GM simulated hockey game. I'm on a Mac (booooo) so I had to MacGyver some stuff to try and make the game work on my computer. I'm currently using the program "PlayonMac" to run Steam, but I cannot figure out why the game is not updating for installation. It keeps saying that the error is due to the "inability to reach the content's servers". If you can help, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I was playing EHM using PlayonMac until the last year where I started to run into issues. At first, Steam stopped working so I had to use the minimized/window mode of it. Now that doesn't work either as the game doesn't launch.

What's working for you guys? I've tried messing around in wineskin but can't get Steam to run.

If you have a winebottle or otherwise that works please share if you can!
