Fantastic news! Thanks ever so much for completing the project whilst I've been away, Tasku. =D> It's been a heck of a tough project so it's great to see it finally completed. Make sure to let us know of any mistakes/omissions in the Data Reporting Thread.

I'm off to start my 07/08 Bruins dynasty...

Good to see you drop by. :-)

By the way, did Chris Chelios announce that this is his last season?

In the game I started, he has the RET flag in front of him, and he retired before the season started.

Is this made on purpose, or is it a miss connected to the "other" Chris Chelios?

First of all... wrong thread :-D

And yes, it's propably confusion between the two Chelioses, I'll remove his retirement.

just to confirm... this does include updated SEL rosters right?

Yes this will contain an update to the SEL league, not too sure who is completein this, but im fairly sure that someone is doing it.

Time scales: not too sure yet, the people that have worked on other leagues, (including myself) are waiting for the go ahead to start our projects.

so the update that is out now is only NHL? that sucks... I guess I'll keep playing with my updated SEL entire league and NHL goalies version for now...

Yes Froese...it is only NHL right now. We are waiting to see what issues arise from that and then the database will be dealt with for the other leagues.

We want to make sure each and every league is done properly...so we do not have a bunch of garbage out there. A few more days and we will begin working on a new league. I am sure you know most people play the NHL .. so we needed to do it first. :-D

Thanks for your patience.

I am not a complete idiot...but I can't seem to get the roster update to work.

BkRnd: I am running EHM 2007 on a Mac.

So I followed the readme,
Created a folder in the database section for the updated roster files,
Extracted the database files to that new folder
Booted up EHM 07, started new game, but was never given the option of accessing the new database.

What am I doing wrong??

Correction to my above post:

It is now available to select...who knows why. But as soon as the game files are done loading, the application crashes.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

All I wanna do is get the right rosters, why does this have to be so annoying...

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with it. It's hard to tell why some people experience technial difficulties for what ever reason, without getting the chance to actually take a look at it yourself or any details even. Especially without any knowledge to the inner workings of MAC computers.

All I can say, make sure you have the latest patch and try again. If that doesn't help, or you already have it, there's an updated version coming out next weekend, it might work better on your computer. You never know with these things...

You could always try overwriting the default. Make a backup of it first though, so that you can go back if that doesn't work either.

:dunno:

I have now switched to a Mac. Only this morning I bought the Mac version of EHM 07 and I have downloaded and installed the roster update no problem! I think it's most likely that you have just placed the files in the wrong place. But it definitely does work on Macs! Like Tasku says, if n doubt of where to put it just over write the original db files after doing a backup.

Going Off Topic - I can recommend switching to Mac. Simply amazing. 8-)

This might be beside any point in this thread, but i did'nt find any other place i might get some answers.

When I try to download the roster update from file front i get the following error:

Only one connection to the server is supported, so if you are using a download manager that attempts to establish multiple connections, you will receive this error.

Anyone know what this means? Perhaps the roster update has been put out somewhere else on the web for me to download from?

Nope, it's still in the same place... :-k

Sounds like... umm... you have some sort of download manager type deal in your browser (stating the obvious, I know), and Filefront doesn't like 'em. So all I can suggest, is to try and find that DL manager, and switch it off while downloading from Filefront. :dunno:

Maybe someone else, with better knowledge of this can provide you a better answer. :-k

I haven't been able to make any progress on removing prospects that NHL teams have dropped out of their system from the database, which was supposed to be included in the next version, originally due for release this upcoming weekend. Real life around me has started to spin with event after another, obligation after another, and I haven't had much of a chance to get anything done.

So for this reason, I'm sorry to announce that version 1.1 of updated NHL rosters will be delayed a few days into the next week.

Thanks for your patience.

Can you PLEASE tell me, how to make this league working? When starting a new game in EHM I'm not presented with the option to choose which database to use. Is there any special name the database must have?
I tried almost everything :-? :help:
Thanks.

If you don't have the latest patch, then you won't get the choice. Make sure you have version 3.0.4 of the game, then make sure you have the database in the correct location: EHM/data/database/TBL_Rosters_2007-08_v1.1. The name of the folder doesn't matter.

Also, you need to start a new game, it won't affect any previous saved games you might have.

Great, many thanks Tasku. I don't have the patch, that's it. OK, I'll solve it...

Ive just finished updating Sweden, Russia, Czech Republic, and a bunch of free agents.

Im gonna finish documenting my changes today, and then pass the DB to Tasku.
Im not sure if its gonna be released the way it is now, or if the others will do their work on it before it's released...

Like Lidas said, we're not sure wether to release this as 1.2 with these three leagues added to the ever growing number of leagues up-to-date, or if we should just pass it on to the next updater and wait until we have all of the leagues we had planned for update, and then release it.

If you're in a hurry to play Sweden, Russia or Czech Republic, now's your time to be heard.
