Welcome to Popo!

Check out the Knowledge Base for a list of other players; I added you to the list. Maybe look up Darren Power in-game, he's recently started as well and was looking to do Metal iirc.
Most of us are out finishing up this tour right now but we'll be back early next month and I can help you out a bit if you need it.

Best thing to do at this point is just work through your 'Mother's List' as it teaches you how to play the game pretty much. Also check out the info we've put up in the Knowledge Base.

Taloncard: Great to have another TBLer in the Popo world!

Beware, this game is highly addictive!

I hope you'll have as much fun as we have

I wanted to play metal too, but turned punk for the same reason as you: job opportunities!
And about the helping, please keep it in PMs here or in Popo...

And don't worry, you won't have to many things to do, and i'll give you a full step-by-step detailed list if you need

You can even choose to have it in french if you want!

I just registered as young Marshall Shapiro in NYC. Took me long enough, the confirmation email never got to my hotmail so I had to re-register under my yahoo address.

The Hutch: Heh heh! Welcome to the Popo world!

Any idea of the style of music you'd like to play?

I'm much more inclined to do modern rock, but I suppose I wouldn't say no to other genres
I started a solo project called Rara Avis to get on my feet.

We'll be back at the beginning of the month and can help people out with some books etc., for now as I said work the Mom's List and check out the info we have up in the

That's probably because of the new Home Offices addition, however are you talking about the condition or the rating?

My condition is alright... But the rating cannot go to perfect... But I have enough employee and i repaired everything...

This could be due to your club owner not having a Home Office that is up to quality or in a different town. As I said, there were a lot of changes/bug fixes in regard to locales and quality and condition addressed recently.
Speaking of bugs fixed they've cracked down on hotels sometimes not being charged. Now you'll have somewhere to rest when the update comes through (usually around 2am CT) and now if you're on your bus at the time you'll get a slight decrease from sleeping on your bus. So my habit of leaving at 3am actually makes sense from more than just a roleplaying point of view!
One interesting thing though is that they've now made it so that if you are physically in an appartment at update you won't have to pay even if you aren't in your own appt. so actually you can crash at other people's places while on the road now!!!
Check out the PopoForums for the 'Youth Hostels' thread where they are coordinating apartments that will be left unlocked in every city should you want to go there instead of paying for a hotel

I guess that anwsers the question raised about multiple bedrooms in an apartment. It would make sense that only players that have a bed to sleep in in that particular apartment would get this benefit.

Speaking of hotels Minty, there is nothing in my diary to say i spent the night at a hotel not even charged for one. We must have been on an all night party either that or it was the Haggis.

by Minstrel
It was the Haggis... I'm sure of it.
Heh. Actually you will see April's fine piece of roleplaying in her blog today explaining what happened. But what actually happened is that they had the strings confused when they coded the new phrases so everyone that was to spend the night in a hotel got a message saying that they "Had to sleep in the
Airplane so they didn't get the best rest." or something like that and people that actually
were in airplanes at the time got messages saying they slept comfortably in their hotel room.
Ever seen the movie Dark City? Well, they pulled a Dark City on everyone and made all characters sleep and erased the memory of it from their diaries! So, unless you happened to be on Popo at the time you don't know anything odd happened.

Here's a dumb question:
What will happen to my show if I play it without my instruments? Because, like an idiot, I forgot to grab my instruments again before leaving for my show(in Barcalona). And now, I'm trying to blow my bank to head back to NY, get my stuff, and then come all the way back to Barca(in time for my 12:00 show tomorrow)... but it won't let me leave, say that it's an "invalid date."
