Hi Silenius, welcome to TBL!
Do you have any idea, why you can't download it, maybe we could help you out?
I'm not aware of this Rapidshare you speak of. Also, all our files, that can't be hosted at our own server are hosted at Filefront, where we have our account. Taking some files to other sites would make it more difficult to manage them.

Hey all. Great job on the new rosters. Just wanted to point out that the only player missing on the Florida Panthers is D-man Corey Murphy from HIFK. Again awesome job on the rosters and keep up the great work.

Right you are, thanks for pointing that out!
Getzlaf, would you move Cory Murphy from HIFK to Florida Panthers. He's on a two year contract worth $ 825 000 per year.

Hello everyone! Just wondering if any progress has been made with the database changes for the EIHL (Elite) league or any British hockey leagues? Can we expect to see them in an update soon? Is anyone working on the EIHL update still?

The thing is, although all the info for the UK and other leagues, that have been planned for this update, is ready for the editor and available for us, but because we're taking turns on editing the database, it is taking some time for all leagues and all the people to get their turn for database editing. Right now Getzlaf here is working on the Canadian junior leagues, and after that, we'll see who's next. Maybe it'll be Calv with his UK leagues update, or someone else, we haven't made any decisions yet.
So, all it takes is a little patience, and in the end we'll have a database that will update, not all, but many of the major European and North American leagues, all in one download.

Thanks for adding Murphy to the Panthers. So does that mean he is available now if I download the roster again or will he be there in a later version?

Next version
If you're in a hurry, use the editor and move him there yourself before starting a new game.

This is the only update that I need to download from here, correct?
When I say the only download, I noticed that you released other roster upgrades and changes. Things that helped the game out, but this download has those incorporated inside of it, right?
Thanks to anyone who can answer this question for me and sorry if this seems dumb to ask, but I was always taught that the only dumb question is the one that you don't ask.

No harm in asking.
And yes, this is the latest version and has all the same data as the previous versions had, and then some. As for roster updates, this is the only file you need.

For the roster updates, I don't see this listed, but where Aebischer is being removed from the Coyotes, Bryzgalov should be moved from the Ducks to the Coyotes to reflect the real life waiver move.

We were not supposed to make transfers that took place after September 29th on the database, but for some reason Aebischer and others have been moved to their new teams. We're now banging our heads together, trying to figure out if we'd keep these changes or bring these players back to their Sept 29th teams.
Bryzgalov or any other transfer since September 29th won't most definately be moved to their new team, though.
If we start moving waivers and other transfers since the date these rosters were supposed to be based on, this will never be ready, and there'd be a long list of other players we'd have to move.

I think I would recommend either moving Aebischer back to the Coyotes or Byrzgalov to their roster, basically just for competitive balance in year one. They are a bad team to begin with, AI or human controlled, and if they lose thir only NHL calibre goalie just get worse and the Western Conference is weak enough as is with this database. I also think its better having Aebischer on an NHL roster than in Europe where you know that some team will go and sign him for year 2 at like 1.9 million/year.
That's one of the quirks with the roster update; you get guys like Aebischer and Esche who aren't good enough to stick in the NHL in real life but have starting goalie capability in the game, so it becomes a race to sign them. Guys like Chistov, Nedved, Vaannenn have the same issue. I know this project isn't supposed to change player attributes, but Iis there any way you'd consider special cases and neuter the attributes of guys like that which are not on NHL rosters? I haven't played European leagues but I'm sure it also skews the balance in them too. I think the next game I start I will do that with the editor just because it prevents the temptation for me to immediately run to the FA pool and sign them all on day 1.

Yup, they'll be moved back. I was just feeling lazy at the time of writing my previous message...
No plans for attribute editing though. You are welcome to do so yourself. The beauty of having the editor is, you can make your rosters the way you want them to be.

Rolandh, firstly, welcome to TBL my good man, be sure to introduce yourself into the arrivals thread.
Secondly, in response to your question, i do believe that Calv (who is in control of that league) is in the midst of moving house, so the only way we can know, is to wait and see, he's been away for a while now, so he should be back soon.

I think Getzlaf got myself and my Bro mixed up! I moved house last September
We all have real life commitments - which are obviously more important than doing a roster update - but we'll get there in the end!

the transfer deadline in the EIHL is 31st January so it hopefully will be 1st Feb when it comes out, however I can't guarantee it.

Sounds good Calv, can't wait for the new update.
I knew that 1 of you guys moved house
Wasn't there talk of an AHL update? What happened to that?

I plan on updating Finland + AHL + ECHL.
I'll prolly be next, cause there might be a change of apartment coming for me too soon, and I needs to get this updating done before that...
