He has been healthy in his NHL-career and Foppa doesn't, but Foppa still gets full contract. But Foppa played well in Karjala-tournament.

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
Forsberg had a 2 weeks try-out in MODO in September when he had been gone from hockey for a very long time.
Now Näslund also get it, maybe just to get used to playing again after a long time off the ice and after that he will probably get a full-time contract with MODO.

What's up with Näslund, does he aim a comeback to the NHL?

I don't think so, maybe it was just for the possibility to play with Forsberg again. :dunno:

Zigomanis scored his first goal for Djurgården yesterday. A deflection in pp, really nice. After two games he is number two in winning most faceoff in the league. Only his teammate Kristofer Ottosson is better. Ottosson - 61.33% (75 faceoffs), Zigomanis - 60.00% (20 FO).

The goal: http://tv.hockeyligan.se/main.aspx?cont ... 1679435777 (Djurgården in red. If some Blackhawks-fan looks at the video it is Marcus Krüger who had the assist to DIFs second goal)

Another video, from the swedish second league: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=du8YRlGp ... r_embedded (goal celebration goes wrong =D> )

Petri Vehanen rumored to "trade" to Ak Bars, Kazan would send Tellqvist to Lukko and pay his salary and make a contract of 2,5 million euros for 2 frickin years. Not sure they would sell Vehanen, cos the player coordinator said Vehanen were going no where at least on this season. We'll see. ;)

I'm happy to see my Blues has climbed from below the pitty-playoffs line to top six!

The board of the Swedish hockey club AIK has accepted a invitation to play in KHL next season. Now it's up to the fans who are members of the club to decide if they wants to play in KHL or not.

The reason for this invitation is that the club has financial problems and that they could earn much money if they play in KHL with many people watching it.
But is it really financially good to play away games with teams far away towards Siberia instead of Sweden?
Sure they will play against better teams, but it will cost very much to go to the away games.

The accepted invitation has also been sent to the Swedish Hockey Association which will also decide if AIK will be allowed to play in KHL or not.

Is KHL aiming to become a European version of NHL?

I've also heard that some other Swedish teams has been invited earlier.

Makes sense that a team that has continually failed to play its way back into Elitserien becomes the 1st team to take up on the KHL offer.

Pig flu has started affect SM-Liiga, not on a large scale yet though, but still. In today's game vs Blues, HIFK had 6 core players sick today. Not all of them had pig flu, but at least one case has been confirmed.

IFK won the game on shoot-out 4-3.

Kärpät also got an invitation to KHL, but they declined. I think it happened last season.

I don't know if this shouldn't go to the YT thread, but since it is hockey-related... well, whatever:

Any idea about the total wins and losses btw? I know it's ugly from the blues point of view, but just out of curiosity I'd like to know =p

Jokerit-Blues match had 2 fights, in the 2nd Erkki Rajamäki from Blues and Alex Brooks from Jokerit took on. Brooks was later diagnosed broken something of his arm, but do you finnish guys have an idea, was it by punching Erkki or falling to the ice. I'm curious! :-D

Russian ice hockey legend Vyacheslav Fetisov returned at the age of 51 years back for an emergency response for CSKA Moscow in the KHL on the ice.

He is more than ten years after his career late in the game against St. Petersburg on 11 December to help out in defense.

Unbelievable! :notworthy:

Jussi Makkonen goes to Jyp  . He gets fired two times at this season, first from Dinamo Minsk and then from Västra Frölunda Indians. He will play tonight in first line with Antti Virtanen and Steve Kariya, who played in same line with Makkonen in HPK at last season, when Makkonen scored most goals in SM-league and was 4th in points.

Bates Battaglia and Michael Nylander goes to Jokerit. It's interesting that Nylander choose Jokerit and SM-league, cause he would have earn much more in Swiss National League or in DEL. But that's not his first time in SM-league, he was first Swedish player in Sm-league in 1994-1995 when he played in Jyp (16 games, 11+19, 63 pms) and last time in 2004-2005 in Oulun Kärpät (23 games, 5+15, 22 pms). But that's first time not in lock-out.

Nylander's earnings will fall very much, in Capitals he earned 5 mills./year and now something like 300 k/year. :-D But maybe that's not his point, he wants to play. And maybe SM-league was best choice, cause there game is pretty close to N-America, KHL's, Extraliga's and Elitserien's games are not so physical, they're more skillful. DEL's and National A's level aren't so good.

So this is Harkimo's "junior project". :-D I hope that Nylander isn't gonna be in first line, because there are already two offensive wingers, so then there wouldn't be anyone defending. Maybe he'll fit in second line.

Didn't Jokerit at some point boast that they were going to play this season with an all-finnish roster?
At least they started out that way this season, didn't they?
