Wow! A shock defeat for Hartford! Ryuzin's change of tactics really took advantage of the Whalers' gung-ho game. Esposito and Hull both scored five points and Ryuzin got four. Batdad has now slipped to joint third in the league leaders for points.

Winnipeg struggled to find a way past bottom-placed Montreal. A win for Winnipeg would have seen them jump to third. They're still not far behind, though.

A disappointing loss for Quebec. I knew it was going to be a close game but I thought our defence would have done better. Minnesota are now challenging for the top spot with Hartford.

Fellow Quebec players, may I suggest we change tactics?I was thinking aggressive for all forwards and conservative for defencemen and goalie. Sbufkle's stronger glove than his stick suggests he might be better playing conservative rather than aggressive.

I would like some opinions on how to run the draft at the end of the season. I previously stated that the order of picks would go 6-5-4-3-2-1-1-2-3-4-5-6 (i.e. the bottom placed team picks first in the first round and last in the second round and the first placed team has the middle two picks). However, I don't think this gives the first placed team enough of a chance to defend their league title the following season. Thus I suggest the order should be 1-6-5-4-3-2-2-3-4-5-6-1. Would that be fairer? Or would it be better another way?

Well if you had a stronger defence, you wouldn't leak so many goals :p

Might be worth taking the opportunity to tweak some of your players' attributes.

Not the defenses's fault...itwas that bloody Helmer returning from vacation!!! TRADE HIM! TRADE OUR CAPTAIN!

Anyone touches my scoring machine attributes..they die! :-D

It's hard to stop shots when you're the only one in the defensive zone, ya know. ;)

Hold on a sec here..no it is not. Grant Fuhr was good enough to win a few cups without any d whatsoever. Tis the goalie's fault pure and simple. He is not good enough to play firewagon hockey, which is the style of choice and is a winning style. Sorry, but Helmer you just have not been up to snuff.

What you need to remember is that in our game Ryugin...at the most Helmer had 9 shots. if he stops 50% of them...we win or tie. But well...you see his save percentage is likely about .100. And that is the issue. :-D

Why can't anyone get my name right? :-( I dunno, I think Fuhr did have SOME semblance of D on that team. Just like my 91/92 Pens. We were rubbish on D, but we did just enough to get by. But then again, I'm not a Whaler. I'll leave that up to you guys. :-k

I'll join you batdad  Maybe we could bring in ryozin as well :dunno:

Sorry bout the name thing Ryujin.

Anyway, you need to realize that this is just good old natured ribbing of our goalie. It ain't serious. Virtually nothing we say about geek hockey is serious. Why? because it is called GEEK hockey for a reason. It is silly, and we don't really care if we win or lose. But it is fun to rib guys. Just like Helmer ribs his teammates for not helping him out we rib him back when we lose by calling him a sieve.

So what? Big deal. If Helmer really cared I am sure he would say so. But anyway..back to actually having some fun and not being serious about geek hockey.

Whalers rule!! Nords drool!

I think i might be the best offensive defenseman in this league but next time i swear to help joe

i will lay myself down und block every shot on our goal, so Joe will have a nice day... PROMISE!!! Don´t trade our entertaining goalie ;)

Such a team player. So overrated to be a team player. Each player should just do his own job. Mine..is to SCORE SCORE SCORE.

So Joe: you know whatcha need to do.

Trade me to the Hawks for Mikita. What do I care.

Whoops!!! I meant to quote you and add in the other stuff. Ugh. Sorry....

Anyway...

Timmi--Just get me the puck! I will handle the rest.
Joe--Just stop the puck, toss it to timmi or bigargon or catchup..then they can get me the puck.

Joe/Bigargon--whoever is captain these days...either figure out how to get superman (meaning me) the puck....or freaking trade me already.

Sheesh.!! Soon I may have to demand a trade. Dropping to 3rd in the scoring race is just not good enough for me. I am so darn good I have a mullet!!! :-D

Hey D88,

We have 5 players and 1 grey guy... you've mentioned 4... so what am I supposed to do? Please pick the best answer.

a.) yelling on the bench
b.) drinking beer in a 1st row seat
c.) cigar and wine in the pressbox
d.) playing EHM in the locker room
