Do you have patched the game to version 3.0.4? Version 3.0.1 doesn't give you an option to select between databases when you start a new game.

I downloaded both the new patch and Lidas update and extracted the files to the database .. nothing works for me

You need to run the patch.

If it doesn't say NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007 - 3.0.4 on the top left corner of the game window, then you have not patched it.

Yep it says 3.0.4

How goes work on 1.1 Lidas? I know you don't do timetables, but I was still wondering if you had any idea if we will get it before Christmas? I'm hoping to have the chance to play with it some before school starts up again in Jan :)

Nice!

We should hold off on starting a new challenge until then. Wouldn't it be cool to run a challenge with these updated databases?

Are there certain formulas you use for rosters?

That's fantastic news. Will this include any updated leagues that weren't updated in version 1.0?

B72 - I definitely think we hold off the next Challenge until after the Christmas and New Year holidays

Sorry, no QMJHL in this update as I haven't heard anything recently from the researcher. Maybe we need to get a new one...

The most important thing is a list of players that need to be moved to/from QMJHL rosters. Also, a list of players that need creating with at least their basic info (e.g. DOB, position, nationality) - we can generate their current ability and potential ability attributes using a clever spreadsheet which Shadd has created (it at least gives us a decent figure that is realistic, if not accurate). Falkky was supposed to be helping Lidas with the QMJHL but we haven't heard from him in a while. I've sent him a PM but it might be worth seeing if anyone else is interested in assisting Lidas. If Falkky is continuing research then any new volunteers can work with him.

I'd be glad to help in researching the QMJHL, I am from Saint John myself, so I am quite familiar with the league. (I also did my first EHM file with the seadogs and won in my fourth year... I wish I could've participated in that GM challenge :-p) But seriously, if someone could PM me with specifically what I am supposed to do, I may be able to contribute. I have exams at university now, but xmas break is coming so time off won't be a problem.

The only issue is that my current rosters is the 07 patch from SI and I'm not sure if this is the most up-to-date qmjhl roster. Therefore, my "in/out players" may be different from my version than the typical EHM enthusiast.

But yeah, someone PM me, and I'll at least some of it :)

Hey racicot, I'll send you a PM later this week - currently I'm lying on the floor with the flu, watching some NHL action

I'm still waiting for a reply from Falkky with regards to what progress, if any, he has made. If you want to get started with the in/out players, you need to download the latest version of Lidas' rosters. You can install multiple rosters at the same time (so you won't lose your 07 rosters): http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... hp?p=30291 (scroll to the very bottom of this page). You will also need to install the pre-game editor to view the rosters (see the downloads section of the site).

Perhaps Lidas could e-mail or PM the latest beta version of the DB so that you don't list any trades already implemented?

You will also need to make a list of players on QMJHL rosters that aren't yet in Lidas' database. Excel is the best way of listing your changes/updates.

Anyway, that's what needs doing - we just need to wait a few days to see if Falkky gets back to me.

great, thanks. My computer illiteracy is sure to be a problem when installing the mods, but I'm getting a new laptop in a couple of weeks so my old one can be the test run for the updates. I'll wait for the word first and then I'll get started in the coming week if need be!

I dont mind doing the entire QMJHL. I was playing around with the editor and it seems pretty straightforward. Is there any way I could do it all and then lidas could import my QMJHL data into his database?

No sadly not. The only way to do it is to note down all the changes that need to be made in a spreadsheet (because it's the tidiest way to set out the info) and send it to Lidas. Then Lidas implements the changes using the Editor.

Hey Simmo, welcome to TBL.

Simply put the folder into the folder, or replace the old files in that folder, with the 1's in the Roster Update. Remember to back up and old files :

C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database

The Roster Update folder. Which was originally called, LidasDB1.0, just place that folder into the location i said earlier and when you load a new game, it will ask you which database you want to use. You then select which you want...
