After installing XQuartz I seem to be able to run the game directly (it has worked three times in a row, at least) but I still can't go out of the game without quitting it. I don't know where to disable Safeguard but since I now can run the game that shouldn't be necessary, right?

But still, I want to be able to minimize the game while playing in order to do other stuff on my computer. Anyone who knows how to get that to work?

Having a small problem locating where wineskin saves the save game files, I want to use a friends saved game, as he can't seem to send me the rosters like normal. Can anyone help?

Thank you.

From reading online it looks like everything gets saved to your "Documents" folder. Alternatively, it seems as though if you run Wineskin.app and go to Options, it is listed somewhere there. I'm afraid I can't be any more specific as I don't have a Mac and am going just on what it says online. If you still can't find it, try sending a PM to TealShark as he is very knowledgeable on the subject (if you do so, it would be great if you could post the solution in this thread so that others can see it): http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/me ... file&u=472

On a completely unrelated topic, I think we recently mentioned that you have to install Quartz X11 in order for Wineskin to work on Mountain Lion. X11 can be downloaded here: http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/Releases

Thanks Archi, after a good nights sleep and trying to distract myself from the stress of my final exam for the year I've found where to put the save game file.

Firstly open up the wineskin folder, right click on the EHM folder and clock show package contents, then click on drive_c>users>then whatever your user name is>my documents>sports interactive>ehm2007>games

then there it is.

Anyone have any luck getting the CSD patch working through Wineskin? I might just have to use the ones with a 2006 start date

I'm not sure if anybody has really tried. Unfortunately I don't have a Mac and so I've never been able to try it out myself. However, perhaps the quotes below might help you:

I'm not sure anybody has tried. I'm doubtful that it will work because the offsets (location of the data) in the memory is probably different when running on the Mac. However, there is a Mac equivalent of ArtMoney known as The Cheat: http://www.brokenzipper.com/trac/wiki/TheCheat . I'd be happy to help explain how to try to change the start date using The Cheat.

Alternatively, we do have "non-patched" editions of the rosters which can be used without the CSD Patch (i.e. using the default / hardcoded 2006 start date).
It looks as though TheCheat works in a similar way to ArtMoney. If you can get that up and running then I can explain how to try to change the date. Alternatively, you could try running either the CSD Patch or CSD Checker via Wineskin:
archibalduk wrote:I can't remember whether it is 100% up-to-date (but it would be fine for testing purposes), but you could try the CSD Checker. It is the same as the CSD Patch but I don't think it requires .NET. However I think it does still need the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package.

I got the new rosters with the 2006 start date rolling, I am not too good with the Mac I may just enjoy as is for now! Don't want to wreck a good thing.

Also wondering if the birthdates on the player/staff pics need to be changed so that they can work with the 2006 start date? How would I be able to do this easily, and how many years would need to be subtracted from the date?

Yeah you can use this tool to adjust the DOBs in player/staff pics.

The amount by which you'll need to adjust the years will depend on which pack you download. If you download the 2012-13 packs you'll need to decrease the years by 6 years. The best way to figure it out is to check the DOB for a player in game and compare it with the filename for his face picture.

Sorry to bug you again Archi, but the tool didn't show.

I am using a 2012-2013 roster pack.

You have been immensely helpful.

What does "doesn't show mean"? It's not a term we tend to use over in my part of the world! :-D

If you're using a 2012-13 pack the you'll need to decrease the years of birth for the players by 6 years. E.g. 1988 would be changed to 1982.

In the above post you said that "you can use this tool to adjust the DOBs"

But no tool is listed or "shows" in the post

Right on, I will give it a go, and see if it works on a Mac running the game through wine.
I will run the minus 4 then the minus 2 and see if that works everything out.

The PC version can be used on the Mac using Wineskin. I don't know if anybody has tried it using the latest OS X. You could try downloading the PC demo as a way of testing it.

Here's the tutorial: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 74#p134174

I'm not really sure about the Patch. If you can install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (or higher) into Wineskin then perhaps it might work. It's really hard to say because I don't have a Mac.

Alternatively, you could try this:

Let me know how you get along.

If all else fails, at least we do always release a 2006 start date version of the TBL Rosters. :)
