It'd be cool to bump into you at some point - then we can keep in contact via our cell phones. I've got a fairly hectic schedule this coming month but I'll most likely be in Paris in between shows:

26/07/2007 Madrid
15/08/2007 Helsinki
19/08/2007 Paris
24/08/2007 Berlin
28/08/2007 Brussels
01/09/2007 London
06/09/2007 Rome

Just joined the game and I am a bit lost and confused. This game is massive! :-o Any tips for a beginner, and how can I join the EHM Blue Line band?

There isn't really 1 band for TBL. There's actually several bands and solo artists.

For tips on how to play, check this link...

http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=36

EDIT:

Archi, you play Brussels pretty close (like a day off) from us. We're there the 29th. We play Paris on the 27th. (both August) Maybe we'll run into you then?

I'll be in Paris on the 27th  I'm not sure I'll be in Brussels on the 29th, though - it'll be hit and miss.

Laskey - add your Popomundo name to your TBL User Profile - it'll help fellow TBL'ers recognise you in Popo.

What's your name? So we can say hello ingame. Where are you? NY? London??

Check this Newbie Quick Guide. It will give you some hints and tips. I don't totally agree, but this is mostly helpful to get some basics.

Also, do all mom's wishes. Then you'll get basic manner 5* and some moolah.

Thanks all for the tips. My character's name is Dylan Keane and I am in London, although i kind of regret choosing London. I have a terrible band name (The Pungent Aromas ) and have done basically nothing at all except fumble around. Is there anyway for me to move to NYC so I'd be with all of you, or am I stuck in naff old England?

Edit- I have accidentally hitched a ride with someone to NYC. I guess this is good, but I don't know. :dunno:

If you decide to become a VIP (ie paying) member of the game, you can change your permanent residence. For now, when you get to NYC, you might want to get back on the bus and head back to London. It's going to cost you to sleep in NYC, while back in London you can stay with your mom. Once you're making some money, you can rent apartments in multiple cities if you want to... or you can pay to stay in a hotel when you visit.

Don't sweat not being in the same city as other people here right off the bat. Lots of us are touring, so we're not in our home cities much anyway. Plus, Archi's character is in Paris. I think some guys might be hanging out in Montreal too.

Ok thanks for that, I'll go back to London after a brief look around NYC.

Btw, sweet and sour pork in Kanji = 酢豚
LOL I love that choice for you Floyd :-p

April's latest work for her 'wedding tattoo' was I think $23,000 to get: 10 家内 恋 福 満足 30 [right calf]

And speaking of April news, she just found out she's pregnant for the first time lol the roleplay is getting increasingly odd admittedly. BTW in case anyone is wondering yes, everyone in the game knows I'm a guy playing a girl 8-)

laskey Both NY and London have very good Universities where you can learn skills. Doing your Mom's List will get you used to the game and how things work. It can be overwhelming at first, but once you get used to the pacing of the game and how things work it can be pretty addictive. My character has been in the game for 282 days today and our punk band The Dead Generation has risen to #42 overall.

It is definitely one of those "it's a marathon not a sprint" kind of games. Even after all this time we're still working on our skills and working our way up as a band.

I've got to ask... what does "10 家内 恋 福 満足 30" mean?

Ahh... yeah, as I mentioned it's Odelia and April's 'wedding tattoo' they both have them running up the inside of their right calf vertically.

It has the day and year of the wedding (Day 10, Year 30) and then four kanji symbols for: Wife 家内, Love 恋, Fortune/Good Luck 福 and Satisfaction 満足 8-)

April's tattoo for her daughter Scarlet has symbols for 'protection without fail' basically :-)

Very cool! Mine aren't quite as creative. I've got Kiss My @ss (edited for the sensitive) in Celtic. Then I got my stage name done. My latest was just a simple N.Y.C. because I had just returned to New York from touring. I'm not sure what I might get next. Maybe a band one?

I'm happy to announce that Brain-Storm will record its first single today and tomorrow. It will feature our main anthem "My Achilles Heel" and the deeper "The Narrow Gate" both songs written and composed by our drummer Rich Urban and produced by our own guru, John Estrada

These will also be the first release form Plutonium Metal, where I (J.K.) is the CEO and John Estrada is a PR manager. :)

METALHEAD, learn to read pal... ;) ........ and how to write the word "maYor" :p
No, Metal club here, and Brain-Storm is the only good act playing there, if not, 300-500 crowd only! :D

That's pretty logical... Montréal has been added recently, so the biggest bands wait for the city to devellop before going to play there. And you have a serious contender with Peter McGinnes' clubs! :-o

Maybe having a big competition for your club would help things... But wait until we can participate! :D

Yeah, I don't think our band has hit Montreal yet. We go to Toronto at least once a year (maybe more) but I don't think we've hit Montreal. Maybe we have and I just haven't realized it? I know we finished our Word Tour "achievement" before they added a bunch of these newer cities, so we've just skipped ones that weren't worth the trip yet.

So what does everyone think of the "zombies" thing they're adding? It sounds a fun but I really wish they'd focus their energy on the music part of the game. There is so much about that part that could be made better.

Yeah, they're adding too much "fantasy" rubbish IMO. Gates, zombies... bla bla bla..

Zombies are quite stupid... I wish this game wont turn as a fantasy mmorpg!

If they really wanted to punish city with bad health, they could have put more health problem...

For singles: 1 month
For albums: 2 popoyears (so 4 months)

something like that
