Great thanks. It's been a little over a month since my last single so I think I'll try releasing another in a bit.

So is anyone besides The Dead Generation and Floyd Martel still playing Popomundo? Did anyone kill any zombies during that little "event"? What's everyone been up to in the game?
I just earned my 90th star for skills (my 2nd star in street-smartness). I'm still on the road with TDG on the Hydra Tour. We're currently in Helsinki. While we're here we are recording a bunch of tracks with 10-star producer Michael Gardner. We're looking to get our next few singles and tracks for an album taken care of. The Hydra Tour wraps up later this month. After that we get a little break before heading out on the Lono Collective Tour. I'm also looking at being the financial backer for a company in the game. I've got $1M stashed away (when the band hit $5M, everyone got $1M and the band kept $1M) and a friend in the game has offered to run the business for a 50% stake in the company.
So what's everyone else up to?

Brain-Storm is doing good too. Our first single is already out since a month or so. We're currently on a break before doing another tour. We've just bought a new tour bus and our show quality is going up

The wall of death and my own expert firebreathing are the shows highlights
John Keating is doing well. I'm nearly 60 stars in skills. I'm CEO of Plutonium Records Metal and President of Keating Entertainement Group, a company owning a single club in Montreal. The affairs are so and so but many gig are coming soon with more crowd than those before

Phew...it's good to be on the road again! Brain-Storm needed a break, but it's good to be back close to our fans! Now we'll make 40 dates in 2 months and a half, complete our world tour, record a second single somewhen, buy more stage equipement now that we have a bigger bus... To make it short, things are running well

Maybe not at the highest possible rate, but it progresses methodically, and we know we still have a lot of room of improvement, which is pretty exciting!
John Estrada now has 65 stars if my memory serves, and has 3-4 skills he learnt at NYU during the holidays that he has to work on. But he will also talk to media to improve the reputation of the band during the two tours.

I'm back in the game and Tyrone is still alive!
Me and Daniel's new character (I can't remember her name) has started up "The Next Generation".

It was even worse when we began about a year ago. I think made over 1000 posts in this thread in no time, it was about 5 weeks from when we started to play or something.
You can read about it
here (the Knowledge Base) or
here (the first page and the historic first post, by me!!)
EDIT: I was reading my post in this thread and saw that I had wrote "vity" instead of "city"...

Tasku: You never noticed about Popo all that time?

Wow! How did you do that?!?
Joehelmer: Heh, nice to see that Tyrone didn't give up since the split of Never Dies

Best luck with your new project
to all popomundians: did you see the short change of name lately, when Popomundo became Poplove for about 48 hours before coming back to Popomundo.

I noticed it, just didn't pay much attention to it until I saw it has 67 pages in thread.
Sounds like some internet kill-your-time type deal, and I have no need for those.
Will check it out at some point though, just to know what the heck you all are on about...

Trust me man..you don't want to know. At one point Minstrel's character went on a date with Instaaled's character. You just don't want to know.
batdad flees the thread from hell yet again.

Hmm... that explains the hair style...
Okay, enough making fun of those who're not around to fight back.

Instaaled's character wasn't only one dating Minstrel's. Tyrone did as well.

Tasku: Popo doesn't kill so much time

It takes around 5-10 minutes per day to check, nothing more

It's not like EHM, who steals sleeping time to many people

I'm still around. Just now got into the music part of it. I've been pursuing the business side.

TDG keeps rolling on! We're the #23 punk band in Popo right now. We've been selling loads of CDs whenever we put a new one out. We actually had a problem for a bit where our label wasn't producing enough and we'd sell out in our first week. We've done more band cash distributions. I think I've got $2M or $3M banked. I have no idea what to do with it all since I'm not into the whole business side of things. I got my 5th star in Motion Picture Photography and Acting a little while ago. Now I'm able to be the director for TDG's videos. I've got 109 stars in total skills. Oh yeah, and I got married last month too.

Wow Popo has changed quite significantly since I last logged-in three months ago! I think it's going to take some getting used to the new additions, such as hiring crew for your artist.
I'm just happy that my character is still alive (thanks in part to my bro giving me a helping hand). I'm just about to start a six week tour of western Europe in the hope of resurrecting my career. Sadly my gym is $5k in debt so I've put the place up for sale

I've finally joined - had an hour to kill, so why not.
So far looks like alot of fun, hard to say really. I've done what my mumma told me, started a punk band, which I named "Taskumatti" (translates to: flask - like one of those you carry your booze) and got a job as security guard. The money isn't all that good, but I figured being a punk rocker you don't want to be a lawyer or PR-asskisser.
My character is located in Helsinki. Name is Mikko Pohjansalo. I picked this name because Pohja is the name of the town I'm originally from, and where I grew up until age 17, and Salo is my current hometown. Mikko is my real first name. So all in all quite a cool coincidence to find such a name to pick.
Peace out!

Archi: Yup, tons of things have changed... Mostly in the good way IMO

Except for the zombies attacks, which are just stupid and have nothing to deal with a musical game
Tasku: Nice to see that you finally joined

If you want a better salary, just send a message to your boss and ask for an augmentation. If your boss is cool, he'll give you the maximum salary (that should be over 1000$/week, but depends on the job and the city you're in). If your boss is not cool, don't worry, you should easily find a better job elsewhere with a nice boss
For mum's wishes, do all of them. Don't ignore any. Then you'll receive the Basic Manners skill at 5 stars. The more wishes you ignore, the less stars you'll have at the start...
I also highly recommend you to try to discuss via messages with some people in the game. There's globaly a very nice and helpfull community. Experienced players will be there to give you advices, and some will even offer you some skill books as a welcome present

And some of them may be running a company... and therefore should offer you well paid jobs

I did "meet" my boss. Clicked on his name and the address was to the neares cemetery. He's dead.
I guess it's like they say: "the only good boss is a dead boss."
Thanks for the advice Shadd. I'll take it slow, see how the world works. Following mums advice is a good way to look around one thing at a time.

Huh I've been sat in the Paris-London travel route for over 24 hours and still haven't started travelling. I've got a concert in London in 2 hours time

Thankfully I managed to book a supersonic flight that'll get me there just in time.

Ah, that's another change you missed, Archi. You have to go to your "priorities" screen and set yourself to "hitch-hiking" instead of working out at the gym or shopping. If you don't do that, you just sit there.
Tasku, be ware of that job. I wonder how long or how well it's going to run with a dead boss. Minty's character has a chain of tattoo shops and also manages a club in New York. His character's name is April Sherwood. I'd send a message in Popo to him/her saying who you are. I'm sure a good job can be found for you. Also, try to hook up with any member of The Dead Generation and I'm sure we'll be able to help you out with books or whatever. Unfortunately, we can't give you cash unless you're a VIP member.
