EHM The Blue Line

I once tried importing the UUDB, but no luck.

I've imported UUDB 6.1 into EHM1 by following the standard instructions. It works fine, with just a handful of error messages during start-up and the first season. Any attempts to edit the database with the Editor results in the same problem you've experienced though. Funnily enough, after 20+ minutes of clicking through all the error messages the game loaded and everything worked without any problems.

Using UUDBv6.1 http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... hp?t=11330 I imported it 3 times straight just now, no issues importing (checked Recalculate runtime data, import_config file has 2006 as Start Date and Rule Set); I didn't try UUDBv6+

On each attempt to actually start a new game (just Fog of War & Retain All Teams checked) with the imported database I got only a single "error message" (pictured below) that I just clicked OK on and I was able to actually start a new game & all 3 starts advanced forward without issue when I pressed Continue (but I didn't sim further)

Interesting. I wonder what the difference is between what each of you did upon loading the DB into EHM since you have different results.

I have been playing with the database on and off for months. I always get the arena error when I start a new game, but it doesn't seem to affect anything after that. At least not in the NHL.

My guess that error comes from something in the extra config.
An arena change where the arena doesn't exist in the db perhaps

I agree!
The extra_config file is not overly familiar territory to me! HaHa I haven't edited it much (and so like moving teams around, it scares me a bit HaHa)

I took a quick look before I initially posted in this thread, thinking maybe I'd see an arena change date that was before 2006 but I didn't notice anything like that (but I didn't go through all the arenas and check that they existed/were spelt exactly the same in the database and in the extra_config file)

Back to topic. I have no idea of these errors. Haven't touched this DB in 3 years.

I don't know if this is some sort of error or just in my game the Habs GM had a brain fart.

Carey Price somehow becomes an UFA at the end of the first season, not signed by the Habs,

So I snapped him up, and now I have Price and Schneider battling it out behind Luongo....

I've done this ''Becoming the new Gretzky'' thing with my friends where we create our own players, with every game using different rosters on EHM 07 and EHM 1. I'm running this UUDB 6.1 on EHM 07 and the NHL does not award the Selke Trophy at all. I discovered this like after 10 years in-game when reading the Award messages in Latest News. I looked at the Trophys page in the NHL Awards and the latest Selke was given in 05-06.

Don't know if anyone has posted about it already, just wanted to inform you guys that it didn't work for me.

Never heard of it. And it seems strange. Those awards should have been hardcoded. Meaning no one should have been able to edit them.

When I downloaded the DB I extracted it as I always have done for EHM 07 and just created those players as how they were posted to me and added couple of cities from Finland which weren't in the file (some of the created players were born at these cities) and after I did those changes, started playing. I started as Finnish SM-League GM first so I didn't notice that the award wasn't given the whole time until I went managing Avalanche.

CJ - would you mind if I carried on your DB under EHM 1? I was thinking of adding some playable leagues, adding any missing histories, maybe some tweaks, etc.

Yes - it relates to the following:

"ARENA_EXPANSION" "HK 36 Skalica" "Zimný ½tadión Skalica" 1 8 2008 594 287 0

The word "½tadión" needs to be corrected to "Stadión".

Ive tried to import the database however it gives an error message saying i cannot play an extinct team (the jets) in the nhl and then it dosnt show up when choosing databases.
Also its saying start date 2016 and ruleset 2016.

I’m looking for older rosters for EHM, but I’m not sure if those unfaking ones work with the current version of EHM.
