BrooklynIslander, I have the same problem with EHM Assistant than you. When I try to load a game in EHM Assistant it says "can't find any objects or game not loaded ehm". I have reinstalled EHM few times, but that doesn't help. Don't know what else I can do..?
E: Loaded the new version of EHM Assistant, which came out yesterday. Now it says "Can't find any EHM objects (Staff count =0)".

Word of mouth advertising on a NASCAR forum in which I moderate that has 400+ active users that I know has at least resulted in about 15 confirmed purchases based on discussions I have had with people on that forum since, and who knows how many people they recommended too or how many simply never mentioned back that they purchased. This puts money in Riz's pockets.nino33 wrote: I'm wondering what are you providing?
I appreciate your concern though, sir. Have a good day.
This gets an Islander-fan style, YES! YES! YES!garfild wrote: Try EHMAssistant_TEST new version.
Whatever you did here has resolved the issue. Thank you very much!

As a moderator of a forum, I would hope you will appreciate why comments like this are wholly unhelpful.BrooklynIslander wrote:I appreciate your concern though, sir. Have a good day.
The number of posts a user has made is not commensurate with their technical knowledge of troubleshooting technical issues with memory editors. Their posts are almost exclusively regarding hockey and EHM/FHM. To complain that somebody is unable to explain why the editor is working on their PC is really unfair.

Even in the latest file there seems to be missing players, I just noticed both Dougie and Freddie Hamilton are not showing up in the assistant, which is making trading Dougie off the Bruins particularly hard for what Calgary gave them yesterday...OxfordDevil wrote:I would like to echo my thanks for putting in the work to bring us this tool, it is much appreciated. Re: EHM:EA Assistant: A saved game editor/scout
Ok, I load the game, get back to EHM assistant and get it going.
Tried the 15.6.1.8 nothing happens, program just stops and "Program not responding" appears on the screen
After closing the program tried it again. This time the I had a black screen, size of the program.
Tried TEST version, "Saved game is not loaded"
Tried 15.6.1.7 "Eeastside Hockey Manager is not running" (There's a typo)
Is there a 0.1.0.1 version that i could try?
The saved game is from 15.6.1b
Edit: Does it matter if the game is saved compressed or not?

Re: EHM:EA Assistant: A saved game editor/scout
No, it shouldn't. The Assistant doesn't look at the saved game per se. Rather it reads what is the game has loaded into the RAM.Wolves wrote:Edit: Does it matter if the game is saved compressed or not?

Re: EHM:EA Assistant: A saved game editor/scout
I think I have found a work around to find 'missing' players. Couldn't find Adam Henrique when filtering players through club contracted but when I searched for the Devils under the Club tab at the top one of the options was a squad list, which included Henrique on it, and allowed me to check his profile. Not sure if it'll work every time but I don't see why not

Don't know should I post this somewhere else (is there even a scout program wishlist), but...garfild wrote:You may check in File->Log is Game Version ID is bigger than 0 and Game Create Using is 15.6.1
Is there a chance to have the same type of "Star rating" on players as there is on FM Scout?
The stars would show will the player use their full potential during his career as in 5/4,5/4 stars would be considered a sure thing, but with 1 star even player/non-player with a PA of 200 player wouldn't make it to the ECHL.
Just a thought.
Thanks again for the program...

Re: EHM:EA Assistant: A saved game editor/scout
Is there a rating/Attribute that determines whether the player uses their full potential in FM? There's no such thing in EHM (a 200 PA player would make it well beyond the ECHL...a 200 PA player would always be at least a very good/star NHLer in EHM)Wolves wrote: The stars would show will the player use their full potential during his career as in 5/4,5/4 stars would be considered a sure thing, but with 1 star even player/non-player with a PA of 200 player wouldn't make it to the ECHL.

Re: EHM:EA Assistant: A saved game editor/scout
I don't think it's a attribute that tells us that. I think it's a combination of mental and physical attributes, for example I don't think a player with 200 PA will make it to ECHL if has problems with self confidence or his workrate is very low (less than five). Also injury proness doesn't help a future superstar.nino33 wrote:Is there a rating/Attribute that determines whether the player uses their full potential in FM?

No, a player with a 200 PA will always make it to the top level of the game, and will perform well in it.

I guess I'll have to test this. Stick a 18 year old prospect in the DB with PA 200 and have his work rate, bravery, consistency low and set his injury proneness high (Let's say 16).batdad wrote:No, a player with a 200 PA will always make it to the top level of the game, and will perform well in it.
Think he'll make it to the NHL and do well?

Work Rate is important, but a 200 PA player could get away with a very low rating (he'd be a "floater" or "goal suck" type player)
Bravery could be 1 and it wouldn't make a difference IMO (most 200 PA type players don't block shots/go in the corners much)
Same with Consistency being low...200 PA type players can be inconsistent, because their "off days" are still better than most

Since the game got updated we need a new version of this, right? Or does the TEST version work with the new game version? Not at home atm, so can't check.

Re: EHM:EA Assistant: A saved game editor/scout
Now that I have been able to use the assistant, I want to thank Garfild first for helping me and others get over this hurdle, and secondly for this amazing addition that you have created. The test addition couldn't be any easier to use.
I want to also endorse this for all players to use, and you don't have to use it to replace your scouting staff. Simply resist the urge, when loaded, to check any players PA. (Just a suggestion, that may be too hard to resist. It has been for me!)
But the value comes in this: We all have our opinions as to the strengths and weaknesses of players in the NHL and other leagues. You may feel that a particular player has their ratings too high/low across the board. Or you might just be thinking something simpler like "this guy may not be that good, but he is awesome at faceoffs and should at least have a great rating there". The assistant lets you do that. EHM researchers have done an awesome job putting these player ratings together, but its your game, and you should feel free to change things you disagree with.
Or, maybe you know one of these players in person. Personally I live near a major D1 hockey campus, so I actually know a couple guys who are in the game. They will never play in the NHL or even the ECHL, but in EHM, I can uptick their rankings just enough to where they can have some semblance of a career within the game.
There's a lot of little things you can do with this, all while retaining your scouts.
I highly endorse.

Is it possible that the assistant has something against Acer-machines and their RAM?

Re: EHM:EA Assistant: A saved game editor/scout
No it's got nothing to do with what RAM you have. It'll relate to your system environment - e.g. you don't have administrator rights (ensure you're running the Assistant as admin) and try disabling any antivirus software.Wolves wrote:I don't get it.
