I started to work on the QMJHL, but I can't seem to find any +/- ratings from 2006-2007 through 2009-2010, as the league's website (http://lhjmq.leaguestat.com) doesn't have any at the moment (its pages are empty for every season before 2010-2011). There must be something wrong.

Also, I am having trouble finding goalie stats aside from GP, GAA and Pct. Any tips?

Try http://www.hockeydb.com although they don't seem to have playoff stats for goalies.

Last year they moved to a new host for their stats, which is probably why you can't find many. As stone said, try hockeydb.com. That's where I've been getting all of mine.

I was getting mine from TSN, but I was also doing NHL teams. You could try them, but I think they'll only feature prospects who have been drafted by NHL teams.

The History Editor is now available for download: Click here: History Editor - Manimal v4.1.zip

The next step in the project is for you to each enter your research into the Editor. You can copy and paste your stats into the Editor, but as I mentioned in my very first post, you will have to manually enter the season/team/competition information.

In order to use the Editor you will need to download the free Access 2010 Runtime and Runtime SP1 (unless you have the full MS Access 2010):

1) Access 2010 Runtime
2) Runtime SP1

Included with the Editor is a file called Research Guide.pdf. This provides all of the information you will need on how to use the Editor. The document is about six pages long because I've included screenshots and have tried to make everything as clear as possible. However, the Editor is very simple to use - I just wanted to make the guide as clear as possible (you could probably skim read the guide).

Once you have added all of your histories in the Editor, click on the Export button and email the CSV file to me. I will then import it into the game database. My address is archibalduk AT gmail DOT com.

Note that no career histories are included with the Editor - it is intentionally blank. Also, I have deliberately omitted non-playing staff from the Editor.

I've been using a combination of OHL's site, Eliteprospects and Hockeydb, and pointstreak, The OHL site is great for OHL stats, Eliteprospects is good for midget stats, but it has no +/- stats and is not good for goalie stats at all. Hockeydb is good for complete regular season stats for goalies and players, but not for goalie playoffs (or +/- for playoffs), and this is where I use OHL and pointstreak. Pointstreak has most of the major Midget leagues for Ontario at least. And when needed I try and search for the league sites as well. especially with European players and goalies.

I got a problem with the history editor.

If I try the x64 file, it says I need to uninstall my office version, which I think I can't as it was installed when I got the computer and there is no disc (I think).

Using the non x64 file I can't install the SP1, but I can launch the history editor, but I get this message, when I click on any league/team/player:

If I choose OK, nothing happens when I click on anything, If I choose cancel then this shows up again whenever I try to click on something. Is it because SP1 isn't installed?

EDIT: I managed to get SP1 installed, but the message remains though.

HOLY rubbish ARCHIE!!! That is some amazing work you have done. :notworthy:

Question about CSVs, as I have taken on the entire OHL, did you want me to send you a CSV per team, or just wait until I've finished the whole league?

Something else I wanted to note. I've copied in the Barrie Colts data, and noticed that Mark Schiefle and Ivan Telegin are not listed with Barrie, they are listed with the Jets. I knew Schiefle was under contract with the Jets but I didn't realize that Ivan Telegin was. So I do have stats for them. What I will do is PM those that have done the teams that OHL players are under contract with in the NHL and see if they have histories for them.

I looked at the PreEditor and they were listed in the 'Staff' section for the Colts and that's what I based my list off of, not thinking to check the players contract section.

I also take it that this would be where we use the 'loan' option as well when entering stats? Or does the loan option really effect anything?

For that, just enter 2006 and it will show up in the game as the 2006-2007 season.
