Not a bad result last night for his first start of the season!

Condon is a better goalie than Andrew Hammond and with Andreson's status uncertain he is going to get a pile of starts in Ottawa.
I very much disagree that Condon is a better goalie then Hammond. Hammonds stats in his NHL stint is off the charts good.

Weber is 0 in plus/minus, dunno what to think about this game ^^

Therrien should have put Price on the ice for the 3rd, not nice to Montoya...

Yeah I thought that too. From what I've heard they really wanted to rest Price for tonight's game. Anyway I don't think putting Price in the nets would've changed something drastically. :-p

It's true, but Hank is a known slow starter and we also have some serious sample size issues :) It will correct itself during the season.

Weber, Radulov and Galchenyuk are amazing to watch all together on the PP. They're deadly. Also Price won his first 10 games of the season which is an NHL record I think.

Never been a real fan of P.Kane but I gotta give him the credit of being one of the best though. :-D He has all the features a great hockey player need except size/hitting.. and defensive work ain't the best either. But everything else is work class.

EDIT: His "outside of hockey" handling is pretty bad also. Sounds like the name "Kane" has a curse?! :-D

While he's not the only reason for their recent string of losses, I'm still not a Cam Talbot fan.....his record in November is 1-4-1 with a 3.34 GAA and an 0.890 SV%

He's certainly a hot & cold goaltender, and along with his inconsistency it's his giving up early goals that have been a big problem lately (the Oilers given up a goal in the first two minutes in 5 of the last 7 games.....not good for a team struggling with confidence, and in a league where the team scoring first is winning 70% of the games)

What I noticed right away is how he was bent over and looking down, and Petry waved his stick at him in what passes for defense nowadays.....if Petry had "stepped into him" he'd likely have ended up suspended - Scott Stevens wouldn't have waved his stick the way Petry did! HaHa

This is a good example of why I'm not a believer that the top players are so much more skillful nowadays.....many/most (all?) such players rely on such weak/soft defensive play; I think the top skillful players of the old days would be able to play nowadays, but many of the skillful players of nowadays would likely get themselves (figuratively) killed in "the old days"

P.S. I accept overall the players are more skillful nowadays, but IMO most of the difference is in 3rd/4th liners and not in top players (and with wooden sticks and the hitting style of "old time hockey" I'm not convinced the skillful 3rd/4th liners would be able to be anywhere near so skillful)
