Just what I thought. They're after the cup. That's the only thing that matters. It's a small price to pay a 2nd to 1st if they win the SC.

With Boeser out for 4-6 weeks and McAvoy for 4 weeks, the path is clear for Barzal for the Calder. He already had it IMO but now it's a formality.

I would not count out Yanni Gourde yet. Barzal has the points, but not the goals Gourde has.

Maybe...though I'm happy for Gourde stats, he's playing with a beef up team with him. Barzal has Tavares too but...the Isles are the Isles. Barzal has also more than a PPG. He's 19 pts ahead of Gourde, that's huge.

What the hell is that? I know for sure if they did that here...alot of so called "experts" would lile to land the job and get McDavid in a trade for Pacioretty and a first round pick. :D

I don't know why, but the Finnish media isn't mentioning Rantanen at all. Absurd. They only talk about Laine. And a bit about Barkov. And Sebastian Aho gets a few headlines now and then. ... oh and Pekka Rinne of course, as he's a Vezina candidate.

Gourde is the biggest surprise for me when it comes to rookies.

I have no idea why Barzal went so late in the draft 2015.. I thought he was a Top5 almost... Top10 for sure. And Boston had 3 picks in a row before him... but no.

Rantanen is an amazing prospects. Talented + size. I hope the Avs will keep him for a long time.

Mtl allowed 26 shots in the second period alone vs Toronto. That's now a sad team record. :-D

The 26 games Weber played this year, he was injured the whole time with a fractured foot. What the hell were they thinking making him play for so long injured? It's not like they had a shot at the playoffs anyway. :D

And again a poor injury/PR management from the Habs HQ...

What do you risk saying in Septembre "Hey, Weber need surgery, he'll be back at Christmas, let's try to be able to have a shot at playoffs by then! "

Will Bergevin be fired this summer ?

From what they're saying Weber got injured in the first game of the regular season from a shot of Jack Eichel. Still, making him rest a couple of weeks at the start of the season would've been the wisest choice.

Henrik and Daniel are calling it a quit at the end of the season. It's the end of an era in Vancouver!

I'm wondering why Antti Raanta isn't a Vezina candidate. Incredible .930 save percentage in a bad team like Arizona. :-k Best in the league for those who played over half of the season.
