Way toomuch work, and Calv seems to be doing enough already. :)
You can check them easily. Just press World -> Teams -> Other -> Select Continent -> Select Country -> Select League -> League Leaders

Hey, you were right! :joy: But I wasn't the only goalie to have zero loses!

Thanks for doing this again Calv.

Ouch - ranked 13th and selected 18th....not a good sign.

Are the pick orders along the lines of the NHL where the worst teams get high picks? If so maybe playing for a better team will help my guy - and Seattle is only a car drive away from Vancouver! yay.

Of course I'm right! Why do people ever doubt me? lol A very good goalie will win you more games than a very good forward will. (at least in my opinion)

Looking at where you put your stats I know what I need to do for my player (McGraw) next time. (if Calv does it again) This time I'm just hoping to be able to make it as a backup goalie in the NHL.

Of course Nurgle is complaining I'm not scoring enough goals. :-D

I'm starting to wonder if Qik's character and mine were not drafted because of the team we picked? Maybe we were in the wrong league somehow? I thought I did it properly....

Either that or we weren't drafted because Qik didn't score any goals, and lost us those 7 games.
Sigh... goalies...

When are your birthdates? That could factor in. If you've got a birthday later in the year you won't be drafted until next season.

May 25th for me and December 10th for mr mcgraw

i am sure he would have been drafted were he eligible.
me on the other hand.... ;)

i should add, he didn't lose us 7 games, he lost us 4 games... and 7 tie/losses ;)
So its more like *11* games he lost us.

geeze.

You and qikdraw are from Ontario. You guys will be drafted as 16 year olds next year.

Aye, thank you.

Now I just need to work on my goal scoring skills, and Nurgle has to work on his not sucking skills. :-D

You guys didn't wonder why the rest of us weren't drafted either? There are over 50 of us involved in this and there were only a handful drafted.

It works for me. I get a webpage listing all of our players. Then you click on the players and it shows their screenshot and stats.

I never expected to get 60 points in my first season, much less go in the top #15 of the WHL Draft. Medicine Hat is a good team, and still close to home. I am looking forward to my WHL career in a few years.

I kind of wish I had decided to play major junior hockey now :( I will be stuck in secondary school for a few more years before a NCAA team recruits me.
I have seen some player who go off to university drafted by a Canadian major junior team anyways. How common is this?

I'm just jealous i didn't live in Canada from when i was born and given the chance to play hockey more!

As for Uni players drafted, it's quite common among the better players, like Jonathan Toews was drafted 1st overall by Tri-City because they hoped to sign him to play WHL, but he decided to play Collegiately. Other people like James Van Riemsdyk (Brampton) were drafted later on in the slight chance that they would decide to play Major Junior rather than College.

But players who verbally decide to play NCAA are drafted more in hope than expectation!

Actually what I was thinking was that Calv only listed the top 15 of the draftees. I don't know all the other leagues and their drafting rules and how that all works. I expect Nurgle to know all that, and he has failed me yet again.

But thank you for letting us know. :-)

EHM a player I have been following since he is 14 had this happen to him and is why I asked. He is a American play from Maine and has always wanted to play college hockey under his info screen. He eventualy choose to play hockey at Maine but was drafted in the 14th round by a club whom I cannot recall. Sounds like what you are talking about, using a pick way down in the draft on the hopeful chance that a player will change his mind.
The player in question was just announced as the #2 overall rank in the upcoming NHL draft.

Been very busy the last few days, we're leaving our rented house after 3 years so we've got loads of tidying up & cleaning to do, it's a 7 bedroom house but there's only 3 of us in at the mo since the rest have gone on holiday ](*,) . I'm also having to install EHM on my laptop so I can run it since my PC might not be coming with me to my new place for a while. Going to try and do some sort of update tonight but we'll see what happens. I move into my new place saturday/sunday so I should hopefully be back up and running next week.
