Ah...he wins. This is the big week Marsac. All the marbles. You tie me for the longest win streak record. I went 13-0 to start last season. Then I lost (I think to you)....So it gets interesting as you have to beat me to beat the record. I think you will, but who knows...2 weeks ago my team was destructive. This last week they were terrbile (I also missed dressing for monday...but I did not this week.)
Best of luck, you are likely going to be the king 1 week from today.

And there you have it...Marsac does not break my record...thanks to my guys! Phew. Maybe a reverse of last season oh Newbie leader?
I know SId was out, but the way I beat you really had nothing to do with Sid. He would not have made up anything except the goals and assists....maybe shots. But to say he would have had 18 more shots than his replacements this past week..I dunno. Yeah 3 more goals maybe and 1 more assist. But no way he goes +18 more than what you had in your lineup. And he can't get wins or saves. I think I would have won with or without Sid in your lineup.
So...the record is tied but not broken. IT was a nailbiter, but my guys pulled through today. HOpefully I will see you in the final Mr. Newbie.

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2010-11
After getting some trade offers and also after batdad's post of 'dealing and wheeling' I started thinking about why we have so few trades in this league. I think one way to add the dealing would be to raise the amount of keepers with some 2-3 players per team. Why? Let's say someone want's to trade Toews from me. When I'm pretty happy with most of my keepers, there is not much he can offer to me, 'cause there is no way I would for instance bring in another strong LW only for the cup run and then loose him by keeping Ovechkin. But if the keepers would be e.g. 1 C, 1 LW, 1 RW, 2 D, 1 G, 2 F and 1 free choice (not G), it would not only make the deals more possible but it'd also make the building of one's team more interesting.
This is just a thought or a start for a discussion. How do you see it?

I think CatchUp had brought that up at some point, too, about increasing keepers now that we have full-size rosters.
Personally, I'd love to increase keepers, and deal with a more "regular" team.
By the way, how do you guys still feel about the idea of promotion/relegation? Should we keep it in place, or should we keep our leagues static, and let attrition take care of things?

I like the relegation/promotion even if it was a bit hard to leave my Octavian-team. It gives especially Minstrel teams something to play for till the end, even when PO's are out of reach.B. I would love to increase the number of keepers!
