All reports from hockey people on Ovi are that he was ridiculous last night, just could not get done because of the goalie and way Rangers harrangued him. Sorry but the expert opinions are of far higher import to me, than the opinions of a Ranger fan. he showed last night he CAN lead a team in playoffs. Big time. ANd for the whole playoff series he did.

Just needs more help than MoJo provides with him and Backstrom.

Ferraro, Mackenzie, even JR said today he was real darn good last night. ANd JR constantly rips him.

Don't get me wrong, not trying to say he was bad, just don't think he was great... Mostly because Rangers D worked great against him, you could see he had jump in his game, but he got somewhat shut down... Bäckis being totally invisible surely didn't help him, i like Bäckis but boy did he pull a disappearance act this series, wasn't even good on the PP.

So Babcock said that by May 20th he will say which team he chose......with Holland sitting right next to him. I guess he's going to stay in Detroit.

22nd is what i read on twitter, next friday... I'm thinking he will stay, no team can give him a better opportunity then Wings imo, good team right now with a great prospect pool. Add Larkin, Mantha, Pulkkinen and Holmström and several others to the young forwards they have up in NHL already, that's going to be scary...

I'm really happy that the first Conference Finals games are played earlier, I don't have to wake up between 4 and 5 am while the Ducks - Hawks game is played 10 pm in Finnish time on Sunday.

So the Flyers have hired a new coach....Dave Hakstol. Seems to have a decent career with North-Dakota University but no pro experience whatsoever. The Flyers continu with the weird choices.

Sadly i think that's a smart choice, most of the "known" guys on the market has realy big questionmarks around them (Torts, DeBoer, Carlyle etc), so if they didn't have a shot on Babcock or McLellan it might just be smart to go after a good unknown guy, Hextall has some connections to him from before (He coached his son in NCAA aswell as some random Kings-prospect while Hextall was in Kings). I'm just sad because it sure would have been fun to see Torts vs Philly media

Well, it's still pretty fun wherever he goes.

Torts vs Philly media? Lame. The man has been in two of the top 5 painful media markets for coaches in the NHL. Philly would be nothing for him. Would have been no big deal.

Now Torts in Toronto...that would be fun.

Seem like McLellan would've choose the Oilers!

How is it choking when going to 2 straight ECFs with a shot at 2 straight SCFs? Your views on choking are quite weird

Simple math. Best regular season team, not best team in playoffs. Therefore by anyone's standards when you win Pres Trophy or at top of league and lose in playoffs....well.....and they are on their way again.

Is he good? From what i've read he seems to be quite good, knowing Flyers he won't be good there though
