People should move automatically to jam sessions...
And yeah the updates are random; you don't know when or how many someone said you can get up to four a day and people have even had two in an hour before. This is what has made me paranoid to go out of my apartment!!

The easiest way not to 'overspend' is to keep your money in a bank account. It can't spend it from there. If you don't have one yet go to any bank and open one up; they are free.
About lyrics: I actually write my own songs and type in the lyrics, but you don't have to, I just think it's more fun that way.
But in my previous message when I was talking about "writing lyrics" and percentages though I was talking about how in the game when you are working on composing a song you have two components, music and lyrics and you click on one or the other to focus on. I've been working on my latest song for days now

Thankfully I opened one a few days ago, so I'm not completely broke... but I'm hoping to never touch my account money unless I absolutely need it. My original plan is to take whatever money I have each day, and put 25% of it into my account. Then let that sit and eventually build via interest. Sometime down the road I'll be
the richest man alive!

I think we have a jam session today at 6pm. The problem is I dont have a single penny, and the entry cost of the jam place is 2$...can we change to somewhere that's free?

Will the place you work at give you the total amount for the week even if you're not located there and simply set your priority to focus on work? Cuz so far I will only get paid 206$ and I dont know if its because I only started working few days ago or is it because I'm not even working at all?

Jam costs are paid by the band and if the band has no money the band leader has to pay so Joe has already taken care of it for you.
As for work I haven't gone to my work location or set myself to focus on work at all. Focsing on work gets you up to 130% of your salary... the only time you get less for work is if you aren't in the city you work in; there's a whole listing about it in the help files section. You get paid a percentage of your weekly pay every day you are employed at that job. This is why some of us who started in the afternnon last thursday got some money last friday... Go to 'Community' and then click on 'Help' in the Game World section for the full details on that.
My new song needs 18% on the music side then I'll be freed from my shackles finally and can start teaching or learnin skills; I want to learn some sweet nunchuk skills.
Well I can just scream out my lyrics real loud; it's the rest of ya that will have to make do with air guitar etc. Maybe our drummers could grab one of those pickle buckets out of the trash behind a deli and use them for drums

Whoever I gave my halloween mask to if they could give i back that'd bee caool cause I can hock it and have enough to buy my mike actually I'm like 4 bucks shy right now...

Well aren't you Mr. Rich McRich?
That's more money than I've ever had. What's your secret?

I started with a saxophone instead of clothes, sold it for 400$ and made the rest busking.

You can only transfer money as a VIP

Which is why I was askin for the mask back so I can hock it

No need to lose money by buying something so I can sell it back... not an urgent thing though so no biggie.
You started with a Sax instead of clothes

How wierd!

Maybe that saxaphone deal has someting to do with your character's background...? Sounds like a nice little advantage.

Yea I have no idea how it happened, but I had no use for it so I pawned it off.
Also, for TDG's upcoming show, I scheduled an intrument solo towards the end, I hope noone minds to much, but I've been working on music skills so much I figured I should get to show off. No clue how to pick WHICH intrument gets the solo though.

Sure... I just filled in some basics as we will have to have more songs for the actual deal. I was just testing out the options and such
I'd like to point out that The Dead Generation and Never Dies are jamming back to back here so it's officially eight hours that will live in infamy as the TBL Punk scene descends with full force upon the jam circuit

Here's an interestingly fun question for everyone...
When you make your songs(the titles, and maybe lyrics) and the artist banners/album covers(when you get there)... are there any influences behind your ideas, or do you just think of random stuff on your own?
Personally, I have been working on my first album cover for days now(I have about 8 different W-I-P covers already), and my number one influence is easily Pink Floyd. I absolutely love the serious abstract art that they have always had with their albums, along with the silly psychedelic style of theirs when Syd was with them. My second influence is definately from Jimi Hendrix and his 1960's psycedelic acid trip style. Then third would be the strong world peace/protest style from John Lennon, George Harrison, and the latter Beatles stuff. Last is mostly a mix of all 1950's Rock 'N' Roll artists, especially the Beatles' early work.
So far, I have one song done, which was named after a line in Pink Floyd's "Breathe." I didn't try to do it... it just happened to be the line they sang right when I got ready to fill in a song title for my first song. The song I'm currently working on, "Hey New York," was pretty much inspired from John Lennon's song "New York City" and it's fast pop style.
