Though after today's Russia match I think I might have had enough hockey for a while. Disappointments like this are pretty hard to live down...

Re: Russia/KHL Editing
All right, guys, sorry to bother you again, but there's still a bit of a problem. Basically, the Olympic Quals (which do apparently allow the players to be called up) are right after the Swiss Cup for Belarus, so the players are called up for both competitions. This means that when CPU does the call-ups - there's a problem:
Roster:

Schedule:

I'm playing as Dinamo Minsk manager, thus the yellow guys are all mine. The ones without the "Clb" info thingie are the players currently sent down to play in Dinamo-Molodechno or Dinamo U20 in Belarussian Extraleague. Thus the problem is not really totally fixed, unfortunately. Part of it is certainly due to the KHL schedule - whoever made that, did the breaks all wrong. I'm a little weary of fixing them, as schedule-building is not the part of editing I'm particularly comfortable with. Also I'm not even sure whether it will help - players go to EHT outside of breaks without a problem, so EHT call-ups seem to be "hardcoded" to be allowed, unlike the EHC or Swiss/German/whatever cup.
My question is - do I bite the bullet and try to figure out the schedule editing to allow the break in the KHL? Or do you think that that would be a waste of time? Is there something else I could try?](./images/smilies/wallbash.gif)
EDIT: Scratch that. Just looked at Dinamo Minsk schedule. No need to edit anything - there's already a break there, but the "Clb" notifications has no intention of disappearing. Basically - that's not it. Got to think of other possible options.

Re: Russia/KHL Editing
This is something that probably is on the game, rather than on the editor. As you wrote.
Do you have skype btw

Well, that sucks. Changing reputation to "16" or above seems to work, but it makes the game pretty stupid (Swiss Cup more important than Worlds?Alessandro wrote:This is something that probably is on the game, rather than on the editor. As you wrote.

PS. I do have skype, but I'm a bit weary of broadcasting it on the open web... PM?

You can't send me a PM because you don't have 35 posts. I will send you my Skype ID in a PM and I'll add you, is that ok?

Re: Making the KHL more of a threat?
The game doesn't properly take TV money into account when it calculates Salary Budgets btw. This becomes a huge issue in practice when you play in Swe-2, as a bottom team from that league can get promoted into the SHL with as little as 300k$ salary budget and the TV money from the SHL is over 3M$ a year. But your salary budget still stays at around 300k$ and sometimes even declines when you're promoted to the SHL. So by your 2nd season in the SHL you end up with over 6M$ in the bank but a salary budget of like 320k$. So if you're trying to get the game to up salary budgets in a dynamic way, using TV money is the last thing you should do. TV money is only really useful to bankroll training facility upgrades and player purchases/signing bonuses, not player salaries.idio3 wrote:Nope, I looked into it. Some teams do spend everything down to a dime. And, in any case - TV money is just one of the things - competition income (play-off money and such) is pretty high too. As are the ticket prices/incomes.The other thing that comes to mind as a possibility (a guess! HaHa) is that perhaps how money is allotted/accounted for is coded in such a way that the "added money" (in your example, TV money) is considered by the AI as excessive/unrealistic and so the game doesn't react like you expect it to

Where did you edit that?
One-time edit, which then repeats every year in perpetuity. You can set the number as high or as low as you want.
