Tough luck on Price. I made it to the SCF against the Jets. Currently playing it right now. Wish me luck!! :-D

We lost Alzner last series and he's out for 3 months so currently going with Jordie Benn-Shea Weber top pair. Lol

Successful first season! =D> Step aside Bergevin... ;)

The 2nd quarter of the 2nd season has not been kind to me. I've dropped 5 straight and have dropped from 1st to 5th in the standings.

So after going 0-5-1 to start the 2nd quarter, I finally managed to win a game.

Stanley Cup in the first season. Regular season was hard because Price was out 4 months (broken leg). Without that, I think I would have won president trophy (Price 26gp 20-2-3). My lines were:
Drouin - Galchenyuk - Gallagher
Pacioretty - Danault - Lehkonen
de la Rose - Plekanec - Shaw
Byron - Mitchell - Hudon
Mete - Weber
Alzner - Petry
Davidson - Schlemko

REgular Season is over, and it went better then expexted, almost winning President Trophy and very optimistic heading into play-off, having 3 players who are scoring 1 point per game, and having Best Goalie in the league and probably the MVP this season :joy:

and get fluffed in first round by Sabres 0-4 ](*,)

Three Cup Winners in Season 1 (Braeden, Hulkster5, MWE) and my team missing the playoffs with the exact same roster must mean I'm making some big mistakes on tactics. Hmmm..... I need to figure this part out if I'm going to compete

Byron-Plekanec-Gallagher
Lehkonen-Danault-Grabner

Mete-Weber
Alzner-Petry

Price
Montoya

Ended up trading Peter Holland to Dallas for rookie Denis Guryanov (95 wristshot, 85 deking, 79 off the puck, 89 determination...looks to be good)

Gonna let Guryanov play in the AHL for now. I want to bring him up but have no space. Maybe when injuries occur.

Looks like you're missing a 2nd rounder from 2018. Habs have 3 second rounders.

How much did you sign Pleks for? He wanted 6M and I wasn't willing to go that high.
No UFA?

Oops I was missing 51st overall. Thanks for catching that!

And Plekanec signed for 6.5/1 year. I needed him back and am unsure what will happen next year with my C position.

And I also signed Michael Grabner in FA for 2.75M/2 years. I'll edit my lines, they look different at the start of the season. :)

Hey I was wondering if I was the only one who has Draisatil, Werenski, or Vesey appears in the Rookie Skaters leaderboards ? Did I do something wrong ?

Thanks :)

Nope for some reason they appear there. Odd.

I squeaked into 8th in the 1st season... and quickly dispatched 1-4 by the Penguins.

18th C Isac Lundestrom
49th RD Adam Boqvist
52nd LW Erik Meddendorf
56th C Patrick Giles
80th LD Matt Anderson
142nd RD Scooter Brickley

FA: C Tyler Bozak (3x3)
Waived: RW Andrew Shaw

Season 2 started 2-5, demoted Drouin to 2nd line, 12-0-1 in the next 13. No idea why, but Hemsky on the top line is working out.

Ryan Poehling is looking to be a solid piece moving forward. Can't wait to sign him. Maybe I'll do it so he joins us in the playoffs... :-k

Image

Currently sitting at 22-8-2 with an abyssmal PP% of 6.2%...Seriously don't know what's going on here.

Here we are at mid-season and we're at the top of the Eastern Conference with our 26-10-5 record. Our PP is 17.4% and our PK is 80.49%. We have not been lucky with injuries so far, with MaxPac, Price, Weber and Byron missing games. Among the surprises are 30 points in 39 games by Ales Hemsky, 23 points in 40 games by Victor Mete, and 36 points from Arturri Lekhonen. On the other side, no really bad surprises at this point, except maybe Al Montoya which was as effective as a colander, with a record of 3-6-1, 4.09 and 849 efficiency . Obviously, I want to leave as much playing time as Charlie Lindgren in Laval. Speaking of them, their 15-15-1 cards would not allow them to be in the playoffs if they started today.

Well that sucks. I was well above the cap starting July 1st 2019. Had to trade Shea Weber, which the fans and ownership did not like. Had to trade Andrew Shaw, which the fans and ownership did not like. But now I'm below the cap and I now have Rasmus Andersson and Jordan Kyrou.

Sometimes as GM you are forced to make decisions that the fans and ownership just don't like.

Finished 2nd in the east.

Beat the Lightning in the first round, before losing four straight in a matchup with Toronto.
Matchups in the East were pretty cool, with MTL vs TOR and PIT vs WSH in the quarters-finals, pretty good rivalties !
Pittsburgh lifted the cup yet again !

At the draft
#30 : LW Anderson MacDonald
#48 : RD-LD Adam Boqvist
#58 : LW Aidan McDonough
#61 : RD Sean Durzi
#92 : RW Ryan O'Reilly
#154 : LW Cole Coskey

I re-signed Plecks for one year at 6 mil and I'll take a decision on him later next year.

You sound like the GM version of Eugene Melnyk. =D>

Hopefully I don't run into any cap troubles.

Not quite sure how that compares to Melnyk, but ok.

I had guys who did the same thing that Shaw does, so he was expendable. Didn't like having to trade Weber. Signing Pacioretty left me in a lurch, but I'm not about to let a 40 goal man go. And with the trading rules in place, you kind of have to take what you can get.
