Err how exactly did you fix it because I seem to be having the same problem. I used winrar to extract the files and then I copied them into the folder and yet I see no pictures in game.

Did you make sure you copied only the pictures into "players" folder, not the folders they're in, so that when you click on the players folder at ehm/data/pictures/players, you'll see only pictures, no other folders within?
I'm editing the title of this thread. It has become a facepack installation help-thread.

On a side not, I might add, if you have downloaded Lazion's rosters, the pics won't work because the player's birthdates have been altered to make them the correct age for season 2007-08.

Oh I do have the roster loaded. Thanks.
Is there a picture pack that does work with it or do the standard ones work?

Only if you rename the pics according to the players birthdates in the game.
Another alternative is to use the TBL roster update, available in the downloads section, or returning back to default roster database.

I am also having problems with the facepacks. I extract them to the player pics folder but it always brings up a sub-folder instead of just the pics.
It does this if I extract the folder, or go into the folder and select all pics and do it.
What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like you're having difficulty using WinZip or whatever software you're using to UnZip the file. If you run winzip (not using wizard mode or just tell it to unzip to a location), select the files, and drag them into the folder you want them to go into, you should be fine. The drag and drop method should take care of it. I think what is happening is that the zip file has a default path that the program is trying to extract to.

I always use drag/drop

Most pics are put into folders so that people who extract to desktop don't have to worry about having 500 pic files floating around there.
Just extract and then move the files from where ever they are to the correct location.

Sorted!!
Just extracted them, then went into explorer and dragged em and dropped em!
Cheers guys
Its alot more fun when you can see what the players look like.

Hey guys, just having a problem getting the new roster update to work.
Did it ok on my old computer but cant remember how I did it now!! lol
I have downloaded it and am unzipping it to: program files/sportsinteractive/ehm2007
Is there a specific part of the EHM07 file I should be unzipping it to??
I remember after last time that when you try to start a new game it came up with the option of using TBL Roster or default but it isnt this time and Scatchard is still at Pheonix! lol
GOt a new laptop yesterday after nearly 3 weeks without one so am haveing some EHM07 withdrawal issues!! lol

If you've unzipped it to EHM2007 main folder, go there and move the TBL Roster Update folder to database folder and you should be all set.

If you look at the top post in this thread you will see a section titled "Custom/Updated Databases" (it's at the very bottom of the post). That will give you some further guidance.

Hi!
I´ve download the roster update "TBL Rosters 2007-08 v1.4 (Filefront)" to my Windows Vista and I´ve tried to extract the database to "C:\Program\Sports Interactive\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database" but then when I push the extract button, a popup comes up and says that it was a failer and it didn´t work.
I don´t understand what I´m doing wrong!
I have this game att a Windows XP computer and it works fine and I had no problems to update the roster there.
Is it special when you have a Vista computer?
Can someone please tell me how to do this?

There shouldn't be any problems, atleast not because of using Vista.
It's hard to say what the problem is, because I don't know what you're doing wrong, or what program you're using to unzip it.

What exactly does the error say?
It sounds like the ZIP file might be corrupt. Check the file size of it - is it only a few bytes? Without knowing any more, I'd suggest re-downloading it.

I had the same problem on my, but I found a solution mark the folder and drag it into the database folder, then it should work. It does for me.

Find the folder where you installed EHM. Within the EHM folder there will be a 'data' folder and within that is a 'database' folder.

So where do you put the new logo icons for US high schools and U16s if those folders don;t exist. Obviously you create a new folder but how do you get it to work?
Also, could somone tell me how to convert a logo to work in EHM? I'm working on creating a US High School Great Lakes League and need to know how to convert pic files for logos to work in the EHM database.
Thanks for any help!!

If you're referring to the latest ones by Lazion, you can just extract the data folder to EHM main. The correct path already exists in the file.

I answered this question in your US High School DB thread but I'll say it here too:
With regards to your logos, you need to convert them to PNG format. The PNG format has an alpha layer for transparency and so that's why it's used in EHM. You need to use a graphics program that has the ability to save in the PNG format (e.g. Gimp (a free software package), Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop). More info about the PNG formate can be found
in this thread
More details about the files that can be used in EHM can be found in
this thread. Here's a quote from me in that thread:
archibalduk wrote:Just to reiterate the new image sizes of logos:
• 'Huge' must be 120 pixels high.
• 'Large' must be 70 pixels high.
• 'Medium' must be 45 pixels high.
• 'Small' must be 50x19.
The width of huge, large and medium logos is not important.
This thread explains where addons go within the EHM directory structure.

The problem might be that some of your files in the database directory are "read-only". Just open the file properties on those files causing you problems and remove the "x" or whatever from the read only option.
