I never would have found out either if it wasn't for TBL, I spent a long time ignoring the most recent patch assuming I could never use it. So much wasted time re-installing my game thinking I had messed up my career. ](*,)

ok so i recently had to re-format, so i decided to go with vista, but cannot get ehm to work.
I install EHM 2007 then apply the 3.04 patch(also tried getting it to run w/o the patch too), then click the icon to start the program, and all i get is a pop up that says invalid data.

i tryed the "run as admin" mode, and same thing. could this be a bad installer?(i have determined its not the installer, as i got a different one straight from SI and that didnt work either) i'll post a screenshot of the error mesage

Hmm that's a new one on me. Are you running with any modifications (e.g. updated databases)? Did you run the installer for both the original install and the patch using the "run as admin" mode?

I was trying to run the trial while waiting for my Paypal transfer to go through so I can buy it... I downloaded the updated rosters and patched it to 3.04, installed it, ran as administrator, tried to register the trial, and now I'm getting this error message when I try to run it:

No restrictions - at least one of the days, executions or hours must be restricted
15

Does anyone have any idea what this is? Thanks in advance.

Hey Ketro, welcome to TBL!

The error sounds more like an eLicence issue rather than it being a Vista error. I'd recommend unlicensing your game and uninstalling. Then do a clean install and attempt to register again. You can actually uninstall and reinstall on the same computer without unlicensing but, because it sounds like an eLicence issue, I'd suggest unlicensing as well.

Vista doesn't seem to like eLicence very much and so I can't open the eLicence section of the Vista Control Panel to unlicense. I have, however, found a work around from OOTP Baseball's website (they also use eLicense):
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/earlier-versions-ootp-closed-claim-fixed/127135-vista-elicense-control.html wrote:For those who may encounter any similar situations, I did hear back from eLicense/ViaTech over the weekend. Here's the deal:

If you create a shortcut icon to the ootp2006 executable file (or modify an existing one), and in the Target field append "-unlicense" to the launch command for the shortcut (don't include the quote and place the text outside the path's quotations in the Target field) it will force the licensing dialog screen to appear when you launch OOTP. From there you can unlicense the game. I tested it this morning and using the -unlicense tag does indeed work.

From the tone of the email it sounds like they know the eLicense Control applet does not work with Vista and I would imagine the issue will be addressed by the time Vista ships in January (of 2020).
Let me know how it works out and if you need any more help

Have you unlicensed your copy and tried running just the demo? If it's not the admin issue or an addon issue then it makes me wonder if it's a licensing issue. To unlicense in Vista, read my post here: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... hp?p=68516

I used this to get my game into small screen http://www.sigames.com/sibase.php?type=view&id=147 now whenever I try to open my game I get a runtime error. It says "Runtime Error! Program: ...Interactive/... The application has requested Runtime terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." It works fine without the small screen stuff.

Maybe a silly question, but since you didn't say, starting with the basics: did you have screen resolution higher than 1024x768?

Screen resolutionn is 1366x800

Have you tried just unticking the full screen option in the game preferences?

I'm not using Vista (anymore), but that article at SI is from 2006, and propably more related to XP than Vista. Maybe the commands have changed a bit?

:dunno:

Have you tried a tad bigger screen? Your screen height is not far from the 768 minimum.

Other than that, I dunno. Hard to say.

Everything works very good on my Vista Home Premium, i had XP, but not legal, so i cannot crack it, so i bought Vista. I feel now that EHM works even better on Vista :joy:

Screen res. is 1280 x 1028 and works good in Windowed mode, nothing parametres etc. were needed.

Sorry my really bad english, iam just youngster from finland :)

I just did the "-small_screen -windowed" and it worked but, here's what I got now:

The height doesn't bother me that much, i'm just missing the date, I can live whit that lol. But the width is bothering me. Any way I can have the full width? Btw, my resolution 1280*800. I tried lowering my resolution to 1024*768 but it brings me to full screen instead of windowed mode. And I can't maximize it.

Thanks in advance!

That's what my game looks like too. It's just something I've learned to deal with. If you figure out a way to change it, please let us know.

There is no way to change the resolution of the game. Also if you want the date to display - why don't you set your taskbar to auto hide?
