We don't. I was just setting up a comment about Finnish goalies who let pucks go in from the other end of the ice to guys who have like 2 career goals in oh say 200 games.
Tos---ka-----la!!! Go Laffs go!!!

Rob Davison--Vesa Toskala. It is on youtube for sure. Game was this last week. It is one heck of a booming shot. Really can't blame Toskala for missing it.

That puck bounced all over the place. Unreal
Anyway, back on topic: There's still plenty of spaces available and we still have five captain positions available.

sounds good Joe...or should i say "Cap"...
I'll make sure to hit you with my stick often

Hit me with your stick and I will....I will laugh at the fact that it was a Swedish goalie hitting me. Ooh, ouch. ooo the pain. Just don't let the puck bounce over your shoulder on a feeble shot from some Belorussian or yank okay....just do your job cappy. Never mind hitting me. STOP THE DANG PUCK OKAY
I DEMAND A TRADE> NOW> Just kidding.
And since when can goalies be captains?

Is there anything wrong with a goalie that jumps for the puck and the same time ducks so he won't get hit by it?

Everything is possible in Geek Hockey.

Excellent! Nice to see someone else volunteer to become a captain. I don't understand why there haven't been more volunteers - it just involves choosing the tactics for your team every so often!
We still have captain slots for the following teams:
Chicago Black Hawks
Montreal Canadiens
Quebec Nordiques

No worries loosie..part of the fun of being captain is having your teammates give you hell and then you telling them off. Fun stuff!

right...our team has no defense..

do we recieve some grey players (you know, like in EHM when you don't have completed two lines) ??

Yeah I'll fill the gaps with "grey" players. These will be replaced as and when users sign up during the season.

So it's no worries if we don't get enough people signing up. It would be nice to have a few more, though.
If people would prefer, I can move players from incomplete teams to form a complete team and then fill the remaining teams with grey players. Otherwise it could be just one TBL user and five grey players on a team. Whichever everyone prefers.

This is now an ongoing sign-up thread. Users may join at any point during the game. At the moment we have 18 spaces. Simply post your attributes and preferred position and I will fit you into the game where there is a space.
You can join as either a goalie, defenceman or forward.
The attributes you need to post are:
* Goalies have a total of 22 points to use on Glove & Stick. No attribute can exceed 20 points.
* Defencemen & Forwards have a total of 40 points to use on Checking, Pokecheck, Passing & Shooting. No attribute can exceed 20 points.
There are more details in the first post of this thread.

				Boo ya!
Team: Montreal Canadiens
Position: Forward (C)
Checking:8
Pokecheck:8
Passing:10
Shooting:14
A little more balanced than Getz's RW - and still leaving the hitting to rookier! I think I'll fit in nicely as the Habs C.
So, boys, who's going to be Captain and lead us to glory?

CatchUp, I've had to rearrange the rosters a little so that we don't have just one or two players on a team and then a bunch of "grey" players. So I've put you on the Harford roster alongside Batdad, Timmi611, Big Argon, and Joe Helmer. Joe is your captain.
I'll update the roster list in the Mentalities thread tomorrow. Consider yourself a Whalers player when posting your mentality for this weekend's game.

 Imyself ( ) BALANCED!
There is no such thing as a balanced goalie in real life. They all nutso!!! Geek Hockey is A FRAUD! I TELL YOU IT IS A FRAUD!!!
