Update file unfakes some league names to correct ones:
Russian Superleague -> Kontinental Hockey League
United Hockey League -> International Hockey League
Czech Elite League -> Czech O2 Extraliga
Danish Oddset Ligaen -> Danish AL-Bank Ligaen
Norwegian UPC-Ligaen -> Norwegian GET-Ligaen
Finnish SM-League -> Finnish SM-Liiga
Finnish Suomi Division -> Finnish Suomi-Sarja

This update is not a roster file. Rar-file only includes language files.
Just remember to read readme to install correctly.

Is it possible to not have the French way of presenting league positions? - Removing the letters behind the position.

Actually there is a way to do that by changin fra file to ger, but then all nationalities are in Germany.
The presetting behind league positions seems to be hardcoded, but I do some searchin for this.

I take that back.. presettings and all languages are in English, when changing edited fra file to ger (or eng to ger). I jam in the mornings. :roll:

Wow thanks to everyone that worked on this, it's very well done. One note though, I am working through a season and noticed everyone is operating above the cap and ditching players like mad. Even I am trying to work my salary below cap and it's tough. I thought only a few teams were operating above?

I just worked a bit on player salaries - all players who have extended their current contracts, and get a raise for next season now only have 1-year contracts with the salary of the current season - i.e. Malkin, Levacalier, Miller, Pominville, etc. This will make general economics better, but will also result in a couple of free agents (who are not supposed to become free agents) after the first season.

Don't want to sound ungrateful, cause I am....grateful that is. But when will it be released with all the updates that were mentioned in the other post? I'd hate to start a new career only to have to start over in a few days.

Hockey is Back!

Thanks to everyone for their hard work in updating the rosters.

One question - maybe I missed it but...

When I bring up the game, I use the new DB, but the season still starts in Aug 2006. How can I change the date to Aug 2008?

Thanks!

Go Caps!

There is no way of changing the start date in EHM. It's hardcoded into the game. One of the truly impressive things about the update is the staggering amount of work that Lidas put into just aging each and every player by 2 years.

Just finished another huge project :swamped:

I have now gone through all players playing in Swedish Elitserien, Allsvenskan, and their junior teams and edited their ability/attributes according to Shadd's spreadsheet 8-)

Next project - Swiss rosters

I've posted before as have others and I want a discussion. It is not fair to the Avs or Hawks organization not to let them have an AHL affiliate. The ECHL has a different league structure towards veterans and I really think the COL/CHI guys needs to be i the AHL to develop correctly. I would let them have a shared affiliation dspite their irl-teams not being in the AHL.

Any thoughts?

Welcome to TBL EfBhockey, always good to have new members join.

About you problem, ensure it is a seperate folder, the place that you have saved it in is correct but place it all in a folder like, "Lidas DB". Make a folder and put all the original files in there too, "Original File" for example and then try. And it should give you the choice of which database you want to start the game with there. :thup:

Please make sure that you have installed the final patch (3.0.4). You can find the file in the Official Files section of the Downloads page.

It's definitely a case of fitting a square peg into a round hole (just like with the hardcoded Aug 2006 startdate). We just have to do the best we can within the limits of the game.

Could we perhaps take away some AHL afils from teams that have two AHL afils and put those in the ECHL? Then we could give those spare AHL places to the likes of Colorado and Chicago?
