I think we should have a date by which this will be sent to SI.

Not that I think it'll bring the game back, but if we are to make a petition, then we should atleast make sure they get it, and not just leave it hanging at the petition page ;)

Signed.

Even if this doesn't get SI to bring back EHM I hope that it may help convince somebody else to try making a hockey management sim.

I hope they do bring it back.

I was googling and found a 10 page thread, over 2 months with some silly billies trying to pirate the game.

Stop being so f*cking cheap and pay for the game. It Bryzgalovs me off..

They go about and ruin it for everyone else

My trial version just expired and I'm now going to buy the license... But I have to say, it's not a wonder that so many people got the hacked version. SIGames should have given more for our money than just a combination of numbers. For example, some online content which could be only accessible with a license code. If I had a facked license, I certainly wouldn't dare to let anyone check it online... Or a longer manual. Or coupons to other products. If you buy a game in a shop, you also get a nice box and a printed manual, which are parts of the product. But not of a digital download. So they should have given us something else instead.

Football Manager 2009 has an advanced license system (you can buy the game physicaly but you have to validate it before playing), maybe if they improve it even further, they might try to release a new version of EHM.

Football Manager 09 has been pirated as well. No matter how complex the license system is nerds will always find a way to crack the game. Unfortunetely this will likely always be the case. You just have to hope that there are enough people with morals who are willing to pay for the games, even though they could easily steal it, to make it worth the effort of making the game.

That's exactly it! I know I've gotten so much fun and entertainment out of EHM, I'd have gladly paid for a new game each year.

I have to admit I've pirated a lot of games, but that is mainly from EA and such large companies that I think can go on without my money

Sports Interactive does the best games however, games that I enjoy for all of the year before the next version comes, therefore I've always paid them, because of it being such a great company and no matter what other games I play for a short while I always end up playing EHM or FM at the end of the day :)

Have people found ways to crack steam stuff? IF not that wouldn't be a half bad idea to get the game on Steam thus cut down on piracy a bit. Plus it would probably cost less as you don't need to press disks, make the boxes, paper manuals (Still should have a .pdf one though) etc.

Question:

Is that possible to get player like you. I dont mean like ''Thinks Rajamäki is extremely component''.

Like in Favorite staff section.
Example:
Player Sidney Crosby:
Favorite staff: Malkin, Manager A.

Is that possible? Hope you understood

The petition is an interesting idea, but I doubt the game will ever be resurrected.

To be honest, I'm not sure the last version ever really had a chance. I was on the QA team and shortly after the game was released it was obvious the devs just didn't have the time to spend on EHM. I'm sure part of that was much-needed time off, but my bet is they were reassigned almost immediately. Some of my change requests were never implemented, much to my annoyance.

It's really too bad. EHM is a brilliant game. If they'd been able to make yearly updates the game would be absolutely unbelievable today.

You can do that. I've been able to do it by simply to give him a salary that he wants. ;)

Good luck to him. But I'm highly doubtful. There are a several small software firms out there that are creating cheap or freeware hockey games but they never really come to much - certainly nothing that approaches the depth and realism of EHM. He will need a lot of money and resources if he wants to create such a game. Now if only the OOTP people were interested in hockey...
