Unfortunately you can't because your resolution isn't bigger than 1024X768. I have the same problem on my laptop, as the screen resolution is 1280x768 as well.

I hope this helps.

Somebody needs to make a program that makes a program think it's running at a higher resolution than a laptop actually is and then scales it down to be visible on one of these new laptops. It's hard to find a laptop that can accommodate the resolution these games need.

Hi

I just installed WIN 7 Ultimate on my lap top and the game works allmost like before. But I cant get the game to run in fullscreen? My screen is a square with one big, black line on each side of the square, anyone know why? I tried all resolutions but with the same result.

Hi

Me again... I found a way to run EHM without fullscreen on a lap top. I just found out how to do this and tried and It works so now I dont care If I have this two black thick lines on each side of the screen, cause Its much better to run the game without the fullscreen. And I dont have the two black areas.

Just rightclick on the shortcut to EHM, and there after the .exe" you paste this line:
-small_screen -windowed

(like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EHM\ehm2007.exe" -small_screen -windowed)

I installed EHM to my new computer and first it worked fine, but when I downloaded the newest patch, it didn't start anymore. I uninstalled EHM and tried again, but same result. I've tried opening it normally and as an administrator.

It won't say anything, it just doesn't start.

I don't have Win7, so I'm not sure how much I can really help you but have you seen this post? It seems like it might help you problem...
Marsac wrote:It's working fine under Win7 64 bit for me, as stated earlier just download msvcr71.dll. You don't need to put it in a system directory, the game directory should be good enough.

What doesn't seem to work though is the e-license control... Yay for old, unsupported, software.

I don't know about Win 7 but in the other versions of Windows, the eLicense Control is in the Control Panel. :dunno:

I've tried searching from there but I haven't found it. Win7's Control Panel is a bit different.

Has eLicense any file that opens license control? I could then try to unlicense it with "Run" command.

I'm not sure. I would check the eLicense thread. If there is nothing there about it, you might want to contact eLicense. They might be able to help you.

I emailed to eLicense support and I got a reply.
Thank you for your e-mail. A new ticket has been created.
Please use this ticket number [TN#: some number] in the subject for all your replies.
What ticket? Does this mean they haven't read it?

It's a case number. That means that they have assigned your case to one of their representatives. Hopefully, you should be hearing from somebody soon.

I have been using EHM on my 32bit XP SP2 but last Friday I bought a laptop that came with Win7 64bit. Installed EHM with 3.04 patch and it runs perfectly, in fact it is faster then on my desktop which has a faster CPU. My resolution is 1380x1200 or something close to that and yes I have a black bar on each side, but that is because the laptop screen is basically a 16:9 wides creen like the tvs. BTW - I played the demo once and was hooked and bought the game right away.

For those having trouble with WIN7, have you tried right clicking on the EHM.EXE and changing compatibility to winxp? I didn't have to do this, but for a few other programs I did and they all work fine. Win7 blows VISTA out of the water.

Updating Rosters on Windows 7

Has anyone else had any trouble updating their roster on Windows 7. I've played this game and updated for years but recently got a new computer with Windows 7 and I can't seem to get this working. I've updated the game with all the correct patches but I get this message when I try to load any roster to it:

"unable to create output file "C:\\ ....database\LidasDB2.2\affiliations.dat"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stupid Windows UAC (User Account Control) won't let you extract directly to any system folder (Program Files is a "system folder") unless you are running the extraction program as an administrator. You can also extract to a temp folder and them cut/paste via Windows Explorer.

I extracted to a temp file but when I cut/paste and put the file in the database folder, it doesn't give me the option of choosing the database when starting a new game.

Any idea why this might be the case?

Is your EHM updated? If you're running the un-patched version it doesn't allow you to select a database.

Yeah, I tried to update the patch originally but I got the 'not found .dll' error - I saw someone else had the same issue so I went on google, got the file and updated. Thanks.
