Huh...seems to have been a one-off. Has now corrected itself and allows for callups. Not sure what was going on before. Maybe it had something to do with the date cutoffs with the CSD (February?) But post March 1, I am now able to call up players that put me over cap.

Very good update, although this HAS to be a bug:

"Afghanistan win World Championships"

Afghanistan have won the World Championships with a 4-2 win over Angola at Ericsson Globe Arena, Stockholm. :dunno:

In the rosters Kyle Palmieri has a three year contract worth 450k/year, seems to be way too low: http://capgeek.com/player/1863

Sounds like you didn't run the CSD Patch correctly.

Oops, a digit was missed in the editor! He was listed with 146,667 and I guess the game changed that to 450

Both Getzlaf's and Perry's cap hit in the game is 7,8m $, but according to CapGeek it should be 8,625m for Perry and 8,25m for Getzlaf.

They don't have 7.8 in v6.3. Please look with the editor and see

From the HFBoards:
I've noticed a few really minor inconsistencies (e.g. Jason Garrison being a better skater than Chris Tanev)

LOL at that one.

Canucks-Defense-Cannnot-Skate-So-Why-Does-It-Matter.

Actually yeah....Garrison is a horrible skater. Tanev is average NHL skater. Garrison is Dana Murzyn, Hal Gill with a shot.

Raphael Diaz is missing his POB (Eliteprospects lists Baar, SUI).

Seems to be an issue with the game, in-game no-one has a salary higher than 7,8m $.

EHM tweeks the salaries automatically. I dunno why, but it does.

Do you or someone else know which amount (at least in re-negotiated contracts) changes to a really low one? I think it's ~9m.

Edit: also Joonas Nättinen is missing his POB, should be Jämsä, FIN.

Ditto for Radko Gudas, should be Prague, CZE.

Leonardo Genoni, should be Semione, SUI.

Beat Forster, POB Herisau, SUI.

I remember someone once claiming it would be 10 million.

(I'm assuming you mean the bug that drops salaries to 50 000 dollars if too high a number is offered)

Yes, that's the one. Unfortunately the AI always at some point hands out those massive contracts. At least I can avoid the bug. AFAIK there's no way of changing the bugged amount to something close to 10m?

I don't know. I'm not very familiar with the Saved Game Editor, which to my knowledge is the only tool that can edit a game save. Not sure if salaries are editable. I'm guessing no, but that's just a hunch.

I just think of it as something to give the AI some give away to counter all the bad decisions it makes. "You waived Crosby, so okay, you can have Malkin for 50k".

I never offer such an amount to a player, so that this bug would happen to me. If a player demands 10 million, he's gone. At least for a quick visit to free agency.

Thanks! Looks like one was added with the wrong spelling Guénette - Guenette

Kovalchuk's info currently claims that he was drafted in 2013 by the Thrashers. Weren't these changes made so that the rights of the players would remain with their drafting clubs? His rights certainly don't belong to the Thrashers (Jets) anymore.

Doesn't matter who drafted them. It is the rights section that decies the team. Draft year is what decides if the rights stay.
However, something makes Kovalchuk's rights get lost :dunno: Could be his amount of NHL games played

What I meant is that currently he's listed as having been drafted in 2013 (incorrect), while no-one has his rights (correct). Why not have the correct draft info, wouldn't that also lead to no-one holding his rights?

No, he is listed with the Devils holding his rights. Which they do IRL. It is just that the game somehow removes those rights at start up. I think it is either his age or his experience that makes it so as the other players I have moved draft year on has their rights stay on

Big changes are coming for the roster updates...

We are also (as always) interested in new dedicated guys helping out with the db. Definately looking for more Euro-researchers and we'd love to get someone to work on the QMJHL or NCAA
