Yeah same as PD for me. But if I leave em out of lineup more than 1 game they disappear...personal tactics that is.
As always (unless B72 says different) the start date of the new season is July 1.

If the veteran age drops at June 15, we should be able to trade players from this date onwards. At least that's how I understood it. Would make sense, as you'd have your new players participating in training camp etc.

As i said in my edit, i had Sbisa out of the lineup for over 10 games and his personal tactics was still there when i sent him back in, maybe it got patched in the last patch? Or am i just lucky?

For trading purposes, the start of the new season will be June 15th. This is so that we can acquire more picks for the draft if we want to. We use the start of the regular season for the purpose of determining the players' age. So players that turn 28 by October 2016 (say the 1st to make it simple) are tradeable as of June 15th 2016.

Peter-For me, Sbisa was out 2 weeks and his were not set. Trouba then out for 2 weeks and they were still there. So....i dunno.
Great B72 thanks for clarifying that.
_RUH ROH. Here comes trouble. Bonino...2 5 ratings in a row. Disciplined him (Warning) for poor play in the 2nd game, and he is unhappy and asked for a trade. Ugh.

Second part of the season was catastrophal. I tried a rather offensive tactic - the result was a devastating 1-15-4 in the last 20 games. We never managed to get things done in powerplay and gave up leads in nearly all games.

Canada is romping through the 2016 World Junior. Beat Finland 8-2, Russia 7-1 Germany 14-1 and now Switzerland 15-2 Brendan Perlini has 13 points, Landon Crouse 12. Connor McDavid is a BUST...only 7 points

Season 1 recap.
So I was pretty happy with my trades I knew Tarasenko would be a beast. First quarter went pretty smoothly nothing to crazy was happening was mixing up lines to get some team chemistry going and had 27 points after first 20 games. Tarasenko was putting up a goal a game and Eddie lack got waived and sent down for not being in shape and a 7 goal performance. No one claimed him. Markstrom got injured after a few games Erikson was not putting up very good numbers. The next 20 games more of the same everyone was producing pretty well My power play and penalty kill were doing pretty bad but I usually get more power plays then penalties so I didn't mind too much. Ended up changing my passing from creative to normal on power play and even strength after watching some idiotic passes to my goalie...
After 40 games I had claimed first in the conference with a total of 57 points. Next quarter was not very good.. I honestly thought the world was falling for a while. I went on like a 10 game skid where I maybe won 2-3 games. Bonino went like 6-6-6-6-5 got disciplined and demanded a trade. So he got benched for almost 10 games. Boone Jenner was struggling all year and I had to rotate some third line guys into first and second center positions. I did a lot of macgyven by changing to berserk and other sliders around during games. I got Kassian fighting during this attempt to get out of the losing skid. Did a lot of different things with lines and tactics. Eventually they got out of the slump without Bonino. Most of my defense was putting up pretty naff numbers and my forward depth was chipping in. I had problems at center mostly with bad performances and that caused me to go 8-10-2. While finally starting to gain some momentum at about game 60. I disciplined many of the older players and it seemed to motivate my team I really did spaz out on them for a 2-3 week period. Had about 5 players unhappy and Bonino demanding a trade for a while. Markstrom got disciplined and it lit a fire under him.
During the final quarter things started to roll. I was still reeling from the losing streak I was coming out of looking for any reason I could to discipline anyone for a couple bad games. I cooled off and didn't really discipline anyone in the final 20 games or so. Everyone was chipping in a bit and after Bonino got back into the line up he tore it up. Going into the playoffs Markstrom was allowing 0-2 goals per game for the last 5-10 before the playoffs. Bonino was putting up 7-10's and the team was playing pretty well. My first series against the flames was a sweep. Nothing too special just I didn't know who their goalie was lol.. Ortio.. Markstrom dominated with 2-3 shutouts. Next series against the Ducks was another sweep. Markstrom was playing ridiculously and my team was playing very consistently. I wondered where this team was during the season. A couple more shutouts and a 10-1 blow out had me pretty confident.
Next up was the stars. They gave me a little trouble after being up 2-1 and 3-2 in the series we finished them off 4-1 in game 6. Both losses were 4-3 losses showing me something was wrong with Markstrom. He ended up getting injured in game 7 for 2 weeks.... Tampa Bay was the victor of the east.. They gave me serious problems putting me down 2-0 in first 2 home games.. Lack got the first 2 games so I put in Erikson for the next one. He stood tall and I was in panic mode again changing my sliders if i went down a goal or had nothing going on for the first period. Erikson proceeded to carry on where Markstrom left off and got us to game 6 with 1 goal allowed for next 2 games and a shutout. We were up 3-2 in the series and in game 6 there was nothing I could do to get my team scoring. Then after a seriously stressful game seven I think Conacher finished it off with like 8 minutes left in the third in a 1-1 game. All that was left is hoping my team didn't collapse like the Leafs against Boston... The game ended 2-1 and I breathed a sigh of relief.. Canucks get their first cup ever

That was atrocious.
Had a nice 15 game losing skid in Q4...Bartschi went down and everyone else figured if he didn't have to play, they didn't either.
Couple of nice surprises were Vey and Jensen scoring 30+ goals (34 and 32 respectively). Bartschi had 56 points in 71 games (4-5 of those playing on the 4th line in limited minutes while hurt).
Only 4 players had a rating above 7. In my trades looking to the future, I did not well prepare for this season, and clearly did a poor job getting anything going with these guys. Noticed a few young guys were immediately crushed by too much responsibility when they had to be thrust into too many roles.
Utica is currently 48-21-3.
Wanted to see how my new guys worked out, the ones who came in via trade:
Xavier Ouellet from DET: 4-35-39, 7.09 in 58 games in Utica so far. He's 22 and I'm quite alright with this. Scouts are saying anything from 5-6 to 1-2, so we'll see how he develops next year.
Emerson Etem from ANA: 21-22-43, 7.18 in 82 games. He's 23, played some first line minutes when Bartschi went down, and stayed pretty consistent all year. Hoping he can improve for next year and become a solid 1st/2nd liner.
Sami Vatanen from ANA: 5-30-35, 7.17 in 82 games. He's 24, and was easily my best defenceman. Looking forward to him staying that way.
Max Friberg from ANA: Wouldn't sign and ended up playing for MODO.
Mirco Muller from SJ: 4-25-29, 7.14 in 42 games in Utica. 2-4-6, 6.61 in 33 games in Vancouver. Hoping he can make Vancouver full time next year.
Tobias Rieder from PHX: 28-32-60 in 59 games in Utica so far. 4 pointless games in VAN early in the year with a 5.75 rating. Excited about his future.
Jordan Szwarz from PHX: 18-20-38, 7.40 in 43 games in Utica. 4-2-6, 6.66 in 32 games in Vancouver. Scout saying everything from 1st to 3rd. Perhaps he'll pick it up in the bigs next year.
Klas Dahlbeck from PHX: 3-16-19, 6.70 in 60 games in Utica so far. Decent points and +/- improvement over last year, has some of the tools to succeed, we'll see if he can maintain 7.00+ ratings next year and maybe make the NHL later in the year.
Henrik Samuelsson from PHX: 9-15-24, 6.43 in 82 games in Vancouver. Basically matched his previous years point and rating total and that was in the NHL so not bad. Really struggled when he had to take on too much responsibility like 2nd line + PP, or heaven forbid 1st line when Bonino went through a slump. 2nd line without PP, 3rd line + PP fit him decently and if he can keep improving I like his game, plus he's only 22.
Will probably be bringing up McCann and Virtanen to throw them in the AHL next season.
Lack isn't signing because he's probably upset I only gave him 27 games, so I'll need to get another goalie somehow. Perhaps Markstrom with Eriksson as backup with Demko developing for another year in the AHL...
Anyway, off to finish the AHL season and get those boys some playoff experience because it's looking like years before the Nucks will have any.

It will be Montreal vs Nashville in SC final in my game, with Montreal beating New York in 4, and Preds overcomming a 0-3 deficit to win the serie 4-3
EDIT : Montreal win in 6
Pretty happy with my draft !

So 20 games done season 2 whats do say getting better and better. I play again very young team and most surprisingly with that is that is also works. In goal play with Mackenzie Blackwood he played 18 games has 894 and 7.11 rat kid is great still 19. My other lines are young young young . This time i play with one drafted again i always had him in my other drafts and i knew he will be good again Filip Forsmark 20 games 11g 7a just great. I traded for nylander and he pans out leads whole league in ass ok 4 lead the league nylander rakell baertschi karlsson 14-14-13-13.Baertschi leads on goals and points nylander second points . Ok i know it looks great so far but i think or know i will hae no chance again in playoffs because lacking experience.

Conacher was my under veteran age player during the second season.
Matthias, Lack, and Saguinetti were 28 when traded.
The last two trades happened after what is considered the start of the 3rd season (June 15). Vey was 25 when I traded him, but he would've been 26 at the start of the 2017-2018 season, and Latta is 26 heading into the 2017-2018 season, which is the one I'm going into.
Believe me, I checked and double-checked to make sure they were all on the up and up.

I had a very good exhibition season going 6-3-0. Two of the losses belonged to Marstrom and they were pretty bad. I have a pretty young team again this year. The starting lineup for 2017-2018 is:
Bartschi - Bonino - Jensen
Bittner - Connor - Kassian
Kenins - Bracco - Wilson
O'Brien - McCann - Lazar
Sbisa - Tanev
Stanton - DeAngelo
Chychrun - Clendening
Demko
Markstrom
I'm in for another long season, but maybe the young guys will surprise me.
