Yeah... books are... how do you say...? ... oh, expensive. You can buy an "underground" book about thievery for $1.5million. I wonder if it covers the technique of charging $1.5 million for a book as classic theft?
But, I can only assume it's because books teach skills, and skills are a pretty big thing... so they have to make them hard to get so that there's at least some challenge to building your character, and we don't end up having everybody who's everybody getting all the skills possible within a few weeks of playing.

If you're a bartender/sales person that is influenced partially by your charm; so low charm could end up with your getting paid less I guess...
On the songs thing Tear It! was kinda inspired as being a punk version of Kiss' Shout It Out Loud.
But mainly just because it's a textbook 'anthem' example and those are the kinds of things we study up on for our shows when we have to do all kinds of different styles at random/audience choice. You have to have one or two quick things you can "hang your scene" on. The lyrics of my new song that I've been complaining will never finish is inspired as a musical adaptation of the movie Pump Up The Volume.
I'm thinking that actually we might to save up for instruments and try to learn the skills from other people... I mean nobody can teach us a guitar to play we could only buy one.
I bought me a pink microphone today so I'm set actually

Mission based shopping is blowing money to improve your mood, just like partying is
Another good use of your bank account though, to give yourself only so much money to blow.
Added four songs for TDG to do punk cover versions of in our upcoming perfomance art piece on New Year's Day: "What's More Punk Than A Band With No Instruments?"
BTW Merry Punk Rock PopoChristmas to all and to all a good night; if you happen to see Santa Klawz you get a mood boost like from the halloween mask I hear

Oh yeah, I just thought of a couple other things.
Can we stay in a hotel in the same city where we are based out of? I've gone to the hotels but I don't see an option to rent a room.
Has anyone else had women asking them to father a child? I'm usually in Central Park and I look for all the females online (or that my character has interacted with in the past). I go through whatever interactions I can to build up a relationship. One of the women I interacted with emailed me after (I think it was in spanish but maybe not). I emailed her back saying I didn't understand and she emailed me back in english. She asked if I wanted to have a baby with her. So I said "what the heck"! I wasn't able to make much out of whatever else she said but she mentioned something about no DNA and something about paying. I think she meant she wasn't going to do a DNA test to make me pay for the kid. I don't know for sure though.
This game's userbase is very international! I've had a few people contact me in Spanish (I just wish I understood them) and one girl from Finland. She was very interested in America. We messaged back and forth a bit. She even sent me links to the website for the cheerleading team she is on. It's kind of interesting to interact with such a broad range of people... just like EHM and TBL.

HAHAHA. I had a 'dreadful' quickie with some girl in central park, but never anything about kids. Thats great.

Oh I've had many quickies! I've even had some that I shouldn't be ashamed of (above average, IIRC). This was something totally different. She was wanting to me to plan to interact with her regularly and build our relationship up so we can "make love" (different than a quickie) and get her knocked up. Her english wasn't the greatest (better than my Spanish though) but I think she was saying there was something in one of her menus or something that told her when she was ovulating. Go figure!E5150_ca wrote:

Have you noticed that the only hetero interactions seem to be "talk to" and "tell a joke"? Everything else leads to "love". A guy can't buy his buddies a drink and keep things straight? You can't compliment a guy without wanting to get in his pants? What about the old slapping half-hug? How are you supposed to build friendships with your bandmates without it becoming something more?
