There was once a time in my life where I didn't have any underwear that wasn't broken... Things are looking better now :-D

You're currently "underwear rich"?

I've often said that one of my goals in life is to be "sock rich". I want to reach a level of wealth where I can wear a pair of socks once and just throw them away at the end of the day. I hate matching socks from the laundry so bad!

B72-Absolutely agree with you on that one. Hate matching socks. And why does the laundry always eat one. Each and every time.

But darn---back on topic....commando? LOL....only a couple times in uni when I did not do laundry.

The solution is simple - wear odd socks. So long as they're the same colour (I only have white or black) then nobody will notice! :D

But there's different length socks to consider. I've got very short socks for the summer and longer ones for the winter. If you wear short socks in the winter you're likely to get frozen ankles when you step in the snow. Also, I don't want longer socks when I'm wearing shorts in the summer. Clearly, being sock-rich is the only viable solution. 8-)

Going out on a limb here but you could always just have long socks and not wear any in the summer!

At least that is what us sock-poor students have to do. 8-)

Ah I am clearly a simple man with a single length of socks! :-D By comparison, B72 is already sock-rich in comparison to me!

My thoughts on saving underwear and socks...

Do not wear underwear in the winter, and socks in the summer. LOL.

I am today (as I am sick with the flu) wearing a pair of socks that I have had sitting in my drawer for at least that long without ever being worn. Brand new socks I tell ya. But they are tube socks with stripes on them...Red, Green Red...would never wear them outside (got them as a gag gift from a buddy). ALthough...I hear those socks are making a comeback in style.

Hmmm... maybe it has something to do with you living in a place with warm winters and cold summers... :-k Although, I must admit that I do not have seasonal socks either.

I would gladly wear no sock in spring and summer if I could get away with wearing shorts and flip-flop all the time. I can't do that at work though.

Kinda "off-ice stupidity" here.

Espoo Blues released their assistant captain Olli Malmivaara, causing a stir within the team. Among others the captain Kim Hirschovits has commented that the players are very upset with this decision and how the team went around with it.

I just like how it's almost like they took it straight out of EHM! Now some of the players will have an UNH-tag in front of their name. :-D

Here's the original news story in Finnish.

Next step is that few players might miss training and someone might even go to absence or even take year long vacation.

I quess that in few years we can enjoy highly entertaining games between Kiekko-Vantaa and Kiekko-Espoo.

Well... I hope it doesn't go quite as far as that! :\

Blues defense as thin as it is, they could've used Malmivaara's defensive abilities.

I haven't found an article to back it up but on RDS alot of people are discussing it. After been back from Ottawa yesterday, Zach Kassian wrecked his truck against a tree in MTL around 6 AM with two girls on board. Everyone was sent to the hospital. What a nice start for this guy!

Update: I've been able to find something and it wasn't him who was driving. It was a 20 yo girl, he was a passenger and the other girl is 18. Still sounds fishy. :D

YEah seen two articles. One says 20 year old girl driving, another says KAssian driving. But yeah Quebec press. When they asked a stumbling Zach if he knew where he was...he said Quebec. LOL.

Zach has issues.....

Good on Torres. Kassian into Stage 2 of NHL/NHLPA Drug and Alcohol program. Doctors will now decide when he can rejoin the team. No pay.

Good riddance for Torres! Finally a good suspension! :D

And for Kassian I just heard it on TV. Good move by Bergevin. Hope it helps the kid.

Hopefully that teaches him a lesson. But I'm actually surprised how few are having problems.. there are like a thousand NHL players!? Only a handful we know about are having issues.

There are a lot more with problems than we know of, is my guess
I think it's the macho part of hockey that makes it hard for these guys to search for help.
Plus, they don't want to lose out of playing time. Who knows if they can come back to their spot on the team, once clean
