$4 million. The Flyers has 5 million plus left according to capgeek.com

And the Rangers signed Biron. Good pickup to relieve Lundqvist from starting all the games
That must mean that Philly go with Leighton+Boucher in next season.. I afraid. :-k
Even though I don't have nothing against those goalies as backup.
I just read something on Twitter saying Hartnell might be in play. Hartnell for Thomas maybe?

Oh and the Penguins just signed Paul Martin too. So they got Z. Michalek and Martin to replace Gonchar.

That'd be an odd trade. Does Hartnell not have an NMC?

Pittsburgh's defence is looking mighty fine right about now. If only they had re-signed Armstrong.

Not that I'm aware of. This would also work for Thomas because Philly isn't too far from Boston and he wanted to stay in the area. He just moved his parents to the Boston area because of health issues (both have cancer I think) and wanted to stay there. So if he moves, he wants to stay close (from what I've read). Thomas does have a NTC.

Apparently the deal with Pitts and Martin is not complete yet, but close.

Antero Niittymäki goes to San Jose. They made 2-year-contract worth of 4 mills.

Tampa Bay made 4-year-extension with Martin St. Louis.

Derek Morris made 4-year-contract with Coyotes worth of 11 mills.

Flyers made 2-year-extension with Braydon Coburn worth of 6.4 mills/year.

Coburn at 3.2 isn't bad. I'd rather see him at 2.7ish though.

37-38 I think.

Well I hate working for July 1st but nothing too special has happen so far, I'm surprise to see Pitts so agressive with D-men but it's a good thing for them since they don't got anything good in front.

Seems that SJ will trust Niitymaki, not THAT bad but it's not Nabokov.....

Gonchar at OTT seems weird to me but good for the Sens.

Mezsaros at Philly really surprise me, I thought they'll be ok at the defence. Plus, signing Shelley is pretty useless IMO.

I think it's sucks for the Habs to lose Ellis, now it's Auld who's under contract with the Habs..... :dunno:

Yikes! I'd be very reluctant to pay Whitney $3M per year for 2 years at 37 years old. Also, because he's over 35/(or is it 36?) when he signed the contract, they're on the hook for the whole contract in regards to the cap, I believe.

Yeah but he's now 38 so it's a big risk to sign him at that price even if he have put almost 60 pts last season....

Boogaard signed for 1.65M$ PER season? What the hell ?! What was Sather thinking...

And good pickups by Pens, their D is looking pretty strong.

Oh and what's up with Hamhuis? Hope he doesn't sign with VAN, I am sick and tired reading Canucks' fans posts about him signing there, hope he signs anywhere but VAN just for the laugh. :-D

Any update on greedy Kovalchuk yet?

BTW, what's with the commotion about Hamhuis anyway, he doesn't look too good on EHM :-D

Volchenkov is very close (read: "Done") to signing a 6 year deal with the New Jersey Devils.
