Personally, I like this... even if it's an exhibition. I love world-wideness in sports, which is one of the reasons I've been getting into football(soccer). I hope we see more small NHL to Europe involvement like this.
Cool, let's see if I get money to go there to watch it. As I didn't got any tickets for the season opening in Stockholm. I didn't even knew they had released the tickets and when I went to check if they had, it was sold out.

Unfortunately Pronger knows he can get away with it. The only way rubbish like this is going to be swept out of the game is to get serious with the suspensions & bannings. 1st attempt to injure - 25 games...2nd attempt to injure - lifetime ban. How long do you think it would take to get the message through with Pronger missing 25 games including playoffs? My guess, about once. Pronger is a malicious player who happens to be very skilled. Look at his head hunting in last years playoffs. Both 1 game bans! All those bans did was give Pronger some rest and instill a sense of being "above the law". Neither of the head hits last year were even borderline. They were flat out intent to injure. But he is a money player and the NHL would rather lose a 3rd liner to a career ending injury than lose a former Hart winner for more than a game. What happens when an elbow to the head or skate to the throat from a physical specimen like Pronger kills someone?
I wonder why they had to come out and say no suspension before reviewing every feed and angle of it.
Still, not enough IMO, not much separates both incidents (Simon&Pronger) and both are repeat offenders, leaders in suspensions amongst active players I think. One could make the argument that Simon brought Ruutu down illegally first before stomping on him on the contrary to Pronger, that still doesn't justify the 22 games difference.
Not surprising though, I expected something between 8 and 12.
Well that's a matter of interpretation I guess. I'm not sure it wasn't as severe, certainly just as malicious. Hard to judge that really. He also stomped twice on him from what I could see.
But not gonna argue with grumpy old batdaddy
HAHAHHA Ference just tied the game with 2 mins left. Lets go Bruins.
Wasn't even 2 mins, more like 20 secs
Edit: Ward gets the OT winner against Philly yet again
Yep. Toews is freaking awesome. But Chicago needs someone who can play with these guys, not even on the same line, but just to keep the oppostion on edge about how hard they are playing against Toews, Kane.
Once they get that piece of the puzzle, Toews, Kane, Buffy, Seabrook, Barker, Keith, Sharpie will roll into the playoffs.
Ah a perfect Leafs run. From a guaranteed lottery pick, top 3-4 maybe even #1...to still missing the playoffs, and getting a pick between 9 and 13th. I love it!!!
Isn't it because of Sundin, who didn't want to help his team to rebuild by waiving his no-trade clause?... How many decades now before the Leafs do something in the league? Great job, Mats! Habs fans will love you on this one.
Great performance by Jonas Hiller for the Ducks last night. He is certainly proving that he is capable of filling Giguere's skates when needed. 4th spot is stating to look safer now if we just keep as we are going and hopefully not pick up any bad injuries before the post season.

I'm sorry i don't buy the fact that Sundin 'owed' it to team by agree to trade. In fact I think it's great that he stayed. He didn't want to be a rental player. I have more respect for him staying with the team than saying 'I want to go to a winner' That's what a real captain does.
