Wow... I did not make the playoffs with the Caps. I was pretty sure I could come from 30th overall with 33 games left. AFter 31 games I am 21-10. Thought that would do it...but nope. Philly is 6 points ahead in 8th. I am 11th. Pitt is 9th and is the only team that can catch the Flyers. Toronto is 10th.
Overall right now I am 22nd. So I should get a decent draft pick.
Saint John is up 2-0 in the 2nd round of their playoffs. As usual led by Sinclair and Randell.
ACtualyl just checked again..they won the 2nd round 4-1 over Chicoutimi. They went 16-5-2 after I left. So I guess I did a decent job assembling the team and coaching!!!

QMJHL final without me at the helm. Saint John vs St. John's. Unfortunately for my former team...Kirk Sinclair got his deal with the Islanders after winning Game 1. after a loss in game 2, Travis Randell signed on with Brian Burke and the Red Wings (Holland was fired 1 week before). So...Saint John lost their 2 best players and could not recover losing the final four games to one.
But man, I did good there!!! So unfortunately for Yann Sauve he will not get to participate in his 5th Memorial Cup. He played in it at 16 (finished 3rd), won it at 17,18, and 19. Almost there at 20.

Hey all, been far far away for the past 3 weeks...
The challenge was fun - much easier / less scary than I imagined...
Thanks for the help and encouragement, all!
So when is #12? Thanks!

After this challenge was over I got a job at the Florida Everblades in ECHL, not as good as I hoped, but at least I got a job in a higher league, and maybe make my way into NHL this way.
It's hard to get good jobs when you are listed as Swedish.
As already said this Challenge was very good and made me see aspects of the game that I never had seen before.

No solid timeframe on when challenge 12 will start. We haven't even figured out who we are going to use. I'm sure we'll figure something out in the coming weeks and I'd image we'd use Lidas' awesome DB update.
That challenge really was a whole lot more fun than I expected. I know that I personally would love to play another challenge at the junior level. I liked working on developing players and not really having to worry about finances.
