I'm trying to join a challenge for the first time but I'm bad at grasping loads of instructions, so I would need some clarifications.
1. Can I sign all prospects (the ones who can join the team at the time) at the start of the challenge?
2. Is it possible to fire the head coach in January, make an assistant the head coach and sign a new assistant coach.
3.Should I get screenshots of every signing (just in case)?
Thanks in advance!

2. Yes, but if you got space for a new assistant coach from the beginning you can sign a new one and then after 6 months you can fire your head coach and make the assistant coach that you signed in the beginning to your head coach.
3. Yeah, that's always a good thing.

Yup. Batdad is right on all 3 points. In regards to point 3, when you post your stats you should only post the screenshots we ask for in the stats recording thread. All other screenshots you take should just be held onto in case something is called into question.
And just to clarify your first point, when you says "all prospects", you do mean all prospects that the Oilers hold the right to, correct?

The main point is that the person you hire as a head coach must be employed by your team in some capacity for 6 months before you can make them your head coach. If that person is employed by the team at the start of the game (30th August 2006) you can't offer them the head coach job until the end of February 2007. They could be your Assistant GM, an assistant coach, a scout, or even a trainer/physio for that matter. In the first season of a challenge though, it's not going to happen until the end of February 2007.joehelmer wrote: 2. You're allowed to fire 2 scouts and 1 assistant coach and hire as many as you like. So in season 2, you can fire another assistant and 2 more scouts but if you also had a scout or assistant who's contract expired, you could sign another to replace him as well.
As batdad said, you can sign staff that are already under contract to other teams but the game won't let you sign other NHL staff. I'm always signing staff away from European leagues or Canadian Junior teams.

You post your 1-20 stats once you've completed 20 games. If you waited for every other team to reach 20 games, you might have 21 or 22 games played by that point.
Individual player stats (like G, A, PIM, and all that) are the total for the season. If you check the example screenshot in the rules, you'll see where you get this from. EXAMPLE

I got a problem, the goals for/against stat isn't the same in in the standings and team stats. Is this normal, I haven't seen it before?
