nino--Totally understand that you are still deciding. All that needed to be said. From your list of players available and not available...that is why I inquired about Simmonds.

COrinthian--Hiller for Luongo? Ha...would not keep Hiller...just for sake of a trade. :-D

Bourque, Luongo, Versteeg, Visnovsky, Doan all available. I now looking for a LW.

Willing to move a draft pick (have to deal a pick back...a lower one like Green deal) to get a keeper LW.

My keepers as of right this second:

Marleau
Selanne
Carter
Burrows
Versteeg or Doan
Calllahan
Seabrook
Green
Bieksa
Niemi

Only NOT willing to move Callahan, Burrows, Bieksa and Selanne. But...WOULD absolutely have to get a keeper of greater value in a package deal.

And things change....CLowe trade was accepted. So...now looking to move Luongo for a mid round pick or one of my others....Doan, Versteeg, Visnovsky for a later round pick only.

Don't you have a draft pick too few after this deal?

Yes...but it is not a problem to me. I always do well off the waiver wire after the draft. I think I had one guy too few last year to start as well.

Not an issue for me, but if everyone else thinks it is, I am sure the Clowe trade can be reworked to include a pick from each side...if we are willing.

EDIT: actually now that I think about it....it would be a problem for Glasgow Thistle

Because they would have too many players and not be able to use their last pick. So I think we do have to rework the deal.

Glasgow: best would likely just to be add in your last pick of the draft.

Had offers but non that really impressed me so still available:
visualdarkness wrote:I can trade either Del Zotto, Wideman or Garrison (both will put up high numbers for sure) as I can't keep all of them. I'm looking for something like one of them plus one of my forwards (outside Hartnell, Hall and Toews) for an upgrade on forward. I got some troubles deciding on keepers.

Forwards (except Hartnell, Hall and Toews) are all available for picks or (together with more players) upgrades in some way.

Also Backström is up for grabs as I will go with Rinne. Look for a huge leap forward with Backs as he got a great team in front of him and is healthy. Draft picks or in combination with any of the deals mentioned above.

I hope you find something interesting!

On that Clowe trade---Manimal, I have emailed the Glasgow owner. I think it is a problem that picks are imbalanced,. It could mess up the whole draft (not sure) when he makes his last pick as there will be no room on his roster.

So...sent him a note, and said I would ask you to cancel the trade. Then we can rework it where he sends me his last round pick with Clowe and I send him the same pick as now and Pouliot.

He needs to approve that idea, or we have to rework trade.

OK, I'll cancel the deal and you'll have to make a new one

I've posted my trading block and untouchables. If you'd like to trade with me before the draft please don't include any of the untouchables because you'll just make me angry.

Oh, and batdad - for the one millionth time I don't want Luongo. ](*,)

timmy_t wrote:I got your trade batdad... hmmm, I'd rather have Ryan Callahan than Brandon Prust. Other than that one change I guess I would take Luongo from you. If you really don't want him anymore. :-k

I get you Timmy. I see you don't want Luongo from this quote. In the past the discussion was not you did not Luongo, just you thought I was asking too much, or not giving you enough value to take him off my hands.

And you change your trade block today...good. But you changed it just recently as well, and now it is totally different. Prior to today you had put Kane on your available list, and had Luongo in your want list, along with Ryan Clowe.... :dunno:

Now all of a sudden....Kane is untouchable, and the only one in your want list is Clowe. Who I offered as part of the deal today. :-?

So...for the last time...you don't want Luongo? How about the first time. :-D

No problem...won't offer him to you....you can keep Crawford, who will be a backup in the minors by Xmas time...because the Hawks will have made a move for a real goalie. Maybe even Roberto himself. :-D

Today's deal...included a pick swap which is way lower a pick than you will have to use to get a solid starter who will actually be one. And Roberto will be a starter this season ....for the whole season...somewhere. :-D

But...okay fine.

To be honest, I had totally forgotten about the trade block / untouchable stuff until today. I figured I'd fix it tonight though. :-D

Good flurry of action there for a couple of days.

Manimal...I have tried communicating with the Titans on a regular basis this summer. I have heard nothing back...no comments ....nothing. Who is the owner? Oh it is macdaman.

Well...he does not seem to respond to anything on the ESPN site...so I think time to find someone else? I know he is playing online so is available and around but...

There has been more action the last week or so than for the whole season last year. Great for the league!

Btw, when will the draft be? I'm away from around 8th of September until around the 25th. It would suck to miss the draft.

I have not decided on a draft date yet as I have things IRL that might affect the date. We will have a poll on the league site when it gets closer. You should not worry though. Fantasy-Season starts Oct 11 and I am guessing we'll have a draft a week before. If there is a season...

After all the chatter, it doesn't seem to me that Luongo went for very much (moving from a 5th/8th to two 5ths in the Draft)...of course it's certainly much better than getting nothing for him!

Speaking of the Draft...how does it work?
Do I have to pick specific positions each round? i.e. does everyone pick the same position each round?
Or can I pick whoever I want?

Regards :-)

You can pick freely from the draft pool, but think a bit about positions from the start or you're going to experience hell. Just be sure to have your keepers set before the deadline or the draft will either be screwed up or you'll get severely punished before it.
