				2 + 10 min penalty Osala

Then there should have been a new penalty record in the GER:RUS game.

Finland up 3-0 after the 1st period, could this be their turnaround for the tournament?

Finland now has four points! Staying at the top level is getting more and more likely.

Marjamäki is probably tanking on purpose, because he wants a high draft pick.

But of course! He should be alert of the approaching trade deadline, though. Maybe get rid of some of those experienced players in exchange for younger potential.

I would trade for scoring talent. We have too many grinders, not enough scorers.

Close call today against Italy but we got the 3 points and that's what matters. We've won the first three games that we definitely needed to win, now come 3 tough matches against Sweden, USA and Russia before the most important one- Germany. Sarauj, Latvija!

Looks like Latvia is going to the Quarter-finals.

I'm not sure Finland will make it.

Worst WC tournament I've seen from them as long as I can recall. This new head coach gave us ZERO points in World Cup also.

I am actually hoping they would drop to the B division. Maybe then the IHA would think twice before appointing a largely meritless coach for both World Cup and Olympics.

You have to remember also that we have one of the weakest teams in a looong time.

He did not have that excuse in the World Cup. Besides, I suspect the decliners who were there are just tired of him.

No of course not. But we have a very young and great generation coming up.

Cannot hold a lead against a completely exhausted team.

Still devastated by Team Latvia blowing a 3-1 lead against Team USA.

Would've really liked to get at least a point in that match.. Oh well, we move on!

I went to Denmark v Sweden yesterday. It was a pretty good game but Denmark did struggle. Some cracking goals - especially Nylander's second.

The Denmark v Italy game was a bit dull (save for the comical own goal) but the Russia game was something else. Great atmosphere and a lot of skill on show. The Russian fans are completely mad. I was surprised to see so many military hats and uniforms along with a fair few USSR flags.
