Getting rid of Rob? He is an amazing player, unless your trying to make your team younger and rebuild through the draft.

Well, I had the Coyotes approach me on deadline day in season one with this offer.

To Phoenix

-Todd White (50 points at the time)

To Columbus

-Mikkel Boedker (60 Points in the AHL)

I obviously accepted right away, as I had Handzuš as my number one centerman and I was weak on Right Wing

Now, I restarted that file and in early January the Leafs have just approached me for a deal.

To Toronto

-Ruslan Fedotenko (43 points, first line left wing)
-2nd Round Pick in 2008
-3rd Round Pick in 2008

To Columbus

-Tomáš Kaberle (23 Points)
-Nikolai Kulemin (33 Points)

However.. I just aquired Colby Armstrong from Atlanta (34 points) in exchange for Anton Strålman, thus I don't need Kulemin. I also have a deep defence, so Kaberle would be good, but not needed.

My Team at the moment..

Fedotenko - Handzuš - Armstrong
Glencross - White - Chris Clark
Ouellet - Goc - Eaves
Voros - Peterson - Donovan

Stuart - Gilbert
Brett Clark - Sopel
Krajíček - Dandenault

Halák - Hnilička

What do you guys think? Should I pull the trigger on this trade? I am sitting 12th in the West at the moment.

I'd do it! Kulemin is a good young version of Fedotenko. And Kaberle is a quality offensive defenseman.

You are Minny, then why is your logo NJ?

If Ovie was injured it's not a bug necessarily, still seems like not enough was given up for him though, with an almost retired Nolan and Despres, unless Despres is supposed to be really good to the AI/WSH maybe, what's WSH's GM's stats like?

I'm sorry my friend but this question is as most stupid as the one with the Batdad avatar. If you're a Canucks fan should I guess you're ALWAYS playing with the Nucks in EHM????

I'm not going to post the lopsided trades, but I made some 'fair' trades for both teams so here they are (I'm St. Louis btw, using an outdated TBL Update V1.5 DB):

To St. Louis:
Jonathon Toews
Kaspar Daugavins

To Pittsburgh:
Brooks Orpik
2012 5th Rounder

I needed scoring help. The Pens needed a top 4 defenseman. Orpik was earning over $4 million while Toews and Daugavins earned around half that. I have a lot of depth at the back end so Orpik was expendable. But that meant my oldest defenseman was Erik Johnson at 23 or 24 (don't remember. I made the trade in 2012) so I made a couple more deals:

To St. Louis:
Colin White

To New Jersey:
Mikhail Grabovski (waiver pickup)
A couple AHLers
rights to a regen

To St. Louis:
Dennis Seidenberg

To Dallas:
Artem Dubilin
Riley Cote

I didn't give up a lot of these two players. They were key in my run to the Stanley Cup Playoff, but I lost in 7 games to the Caps. Oh, and the next season I got back Grabovski on waivers.

I like the Seidenberg trade he is always a reliable 2 way guy who can play pp and pk, I also like to try and get Tim Gleason he is really solid in all situations aswell, also you don't have to give up too much to get him.

Yeah, in most of my saves I try to get Seidenberg because of that. He was my best player out of all my defensemen this season, although I did make him a healthy scratch for the first few games  , because I wanted to play Mark Katic, who finished 3rd in 2011-2012 for the Calder and Kirill Tupulov, until Tupulov got injured and Seidenberg did such a good job he stayed in the lineup for the rest of the season.

Gleason was actually a UFA in the 2012 off-season in my game, but I elected not to sign because I needed some cap relief and I already had (in addition to Seidenberg, White, Katic, Tupulov) Erik Johnson and Ryan Wilson on the Blues and Stephen Lund (had to keep him at the AHL because I didn't want to lose him on re-entry waivers), and a couple regen 1st Rounders at Peoria.

Didn't make many notable trades in 2012-2013 though (actually not many teams around the NHL did. And trade deadline day 2013 was worse than the one IRL  )

I was actually a little shocked that I managed to pull these deals off.

To St. Louis:
Chris Kell
2007 3rd round pick

To Ottawa:
Alex Pietrangelo

To Phoenix:
Alexei Kovalev

To Ottawa:
Martin Hanzal
Keith Yandle

I feel bad for exploiting the A.I.. makes for less entertaining game but:

to WSH: Rights to Teemu Pulkkinen
Dustin Penner

to EDM: Alexander Ovechkin

and another time almost a three-way deal:

first to PIT: Petr Sykora
to MIN: Simon Després
followed by to WSH Simon Després and Owen Nolan
to MIN: Alexander Ovechkin

so basically Sykora and Nolan for Ovechkin

Oh sorry the Av. rates are not there. 15-17 8.50+ and 17-18 with 8.19. Mainly because Heatley left and Jordan Staal now plays 1st line LW.
